| Who| All those on the liberation mission and all those being made to fight against them. What| The liberation of District 8. Where| District 8. When| This week. Warnings/Notes| War, violence, death. Please warn for more in headers.
District 8 is a dirty district. That's one of the first things you notice as you step out. District 13 was underground, but the filtered air was clean, at least. And the air outside of it was crisp and clear. But here? The air is weighed down with pollution and smog. For those perceptive individuals, there's a tension in the air, as well. A feeling that something soon was going to snap.
The woman in charge is wrapped up in various bits of garments that had probably been colorful at one time. But she carries herself with an absolute air of authority, and the way she speaks is crisp, knowledgeable. This is Commander Paylor, and she's quick to order around the new people, let them know what the situation is as she takes them to their current hideout.
Paylor tells them that District 8 had been one of the first districts to openly rebel against the Capitol, but District 13 hadn't been able to send aid until now (and she doesn't sound particularly impressed by this). As they walk, there's graffiti over the walls--the phrase 'Mere'lin' is repeated in multiple places not to mention such phrases as From ev'ry mountainside Let freedom ring, so we can go home, for peace, and we are already free.
This District will be one of the most enthusiastic to see the rebels. The people of District 8 are ready and willing to get started, almost bloodthirsty in some regards when it comes to taking out the Capitol. They were among the first to rebel, and they're eager to see their efforts finally be rewarded.
The majority of the pro-Capitol forces there are either peacekeepers, or the wealthy, some even Capitolites who had moved to District 8 to own factors and take advantage of the loopholes extended to Capitolites. They hold the wealth and power of the district, and they're frustrated and angry that their workers have decided to try to rebel against them--and that the Capitol isn't helping to what they feel is its peak capacity.
The war continues, and in the back of everyone's mind is a familiar phrase; may the odds be ever in your favor. |

| Who| All those on the liberation mission and all those being made to fight against them. What| The liberation of District 12. Where| District 12. When| This week. Warnings/Notes| War, violence, death. Please warn for more in headers.
It doesn't take long to get to District 12, the closest district to the rebel district. It's one of the smallest districts, and you only know you reach it when rolling hills grow and grow until they become large, fertile green mountains. The environment looks green and lush, beautiful, really--That is, until you reach the part of the District where people actually live. The weather is chillier than the Capitol, though the wind bares the worst of it. Anyone planning on spending any time outside should definitely get a coat.
The town is smaller than any of the others, and more worn down. Everything seems to have a thin layer of cole settled over it, no matter how much cleaning is done. The center of the town isn't too shabby, and there are a few things that stand new and shining--A metal whipping post and stocks. The latter occasionally has an unfortunate person in it, though most people have learned to buckle down and accept the new rules.
In the merchant part of town, there's some signs of wildlife, knobby trees and green enough yards. The merchants used to ply their trades here, though for now, everything's locked down. As you get farther, it gets shabbier, poorer. Into the Seam, where the poorest of the poor live. Here, the houses are barely more than shacks. Trees grow wild, and what animal life exists is quick to run from any humans, no doubt having survived at least one attempt by the people of the Seam to capture them for the supper pot.
One thing in common with all the sections of the District is a feeling of hopelessness. The mood is dour, as heavy and permanent as the cole dust that seeps into everything. The only sign of anything even resembling any rebellion is a few chalk scratchings on the sides of abandoned buildings, a few zodiac symbols--Anyone who knows the trolls can recognize the symbols of Karkat, Terezi, Psiioniic, and even the Initiate. That, and the grand pictures of Sam Wilson and Joan Watson, and the bold words stating NOT ALONE and WE ALL DESERVE BETTER.

| Who| Everyone in the arena What| Even more reasons to hate the Capitol. Where| Everywhere. When| 4 am. Warnings/Notes| Any group is being targeted to be separated. Everyone should be tagging someone they are not with, as well as those they are, as the Gamemakers are driving them apart. (You can feel free to search for, and possibly find your buddies later)
Once upon a time, when this place was a much happier place, fireworks would light up the sky, delighting children and leaving everyone with a magical feeling in their hearts.
This will not leave anyone with a magical feeling.
It was much later than a fireworks show would have ever gone. Closer to dawn then not, when anyone who could rest, even those far from it, would have finally managed to drift off.
It started with a strange, warbling music. For those familiar with this place it feels wrong, close to something they would connect with this show, but wrong. Distorted. Stumbling through a few bars, it starts to peter out just in time for a high pitches whistling.
And then the first firework explodes into the ground in a shower of bright colors, lighting up the castle. There is a moment of silence as the sparks fade.
And then all hell breaks loose.
Whoever is controlling the fireworks obviously have goals in mind. The strikes are tight, controlled. They are herding. Targeting the groups, the pairs, driving them apart.
The fireworks aren't made to kill (although a direct hit may), but they burn flesh, and leave anyone who looks at them too close momentarily blinded. Ever one is a shrieker, loud, louder then the shrillest fourth of July fireworks, screaming toward their targets. The arena is suddenly a shrill battleground, full of blindingly bright colors.
Th whole attack doesn't last longer than 20 minutes, petering off as the divisions have been deemed enough. A few squeal through the night here and there and then finally, blissfully silent. - Tags:! arena 06, matthew "punchy" o'connor, wesker, wyatt earp, ✘ bruce banner, ✘ chibiusa, ✘ danny williams, ✘ eliot spencer, ✘ enjolras, ✘ howard bassem, ✘ ian chesterton, ✘ john watson, ✘ julie grigio, ✘ pruna, ✘ r, ✘ sherlock holmes (bbc), ✘ suze simon, ✘ tim wayne

| WHO| Wyatt and Wesker and You, oh my! WHAT| Doin' what they do best. WHERE| Frontierland, Tomorrowland, and all parts inbetween. WHEN| Late Week 3 WARNINGS/NOTES| Permi-warning for Wesker's general ego and dickishnes; also Maximus is expected to stop by to show Wesker his new axe, so violence is a go! (But no death, you're good there.) Note-wise: Wyatt's available anywhere inbetween Frontierland and Tomorrowland; Wesker's only up for grabs in the latter 'cause he's an ass like that.
Wyatt couldn't say that he was completely sold on the idea of dead men up and walkin' around, but for what it was... he was actually kind of glad to have R around. With the extra set of eyes, he felt safer leaving Howard while he went out to check the traps. He could even risk crossing the park to the fruit trees Callista had shown him what felt a lifetime ago. (Maybe he'd stop by the planet building on his way, see if she was still there and how she was doin'....)
He stuck to the main, wide paths, figurin' if anybody came at him, he'd have more room to move and more time to react.
~.~
Wesker was systematically working his way through Tomorrowland, slowly transforming it into his own personal fiefdom. He used everything at his disposal: every lesson he'd been taught, every dirty trick he'd ever played, every one of his many talents and skills to make sure nothing happened that he didn't know about.
Who came, who went, who killed and who died. Who might be a threat, and who certainly wasn't.
He was always watching. Always listening. Always waiting. |

| Who: Harley, Barbara and Wesker What: The Death of Harley Quinn Where: Tomorrowland When: 3rd week Warnings: Well...death. ( (The Jokes over!) ) |
|
| Who| Atticus & Wesker What| For Wrath and Ruin! Where| Tomorrowland, for the most part When| Friday Warnings/Notes| Death post! So, the usual. Violence and whatnot. (And Atticus' unfortunate nudity.)
There were a number of things that Atticus didn't like about turning into a wolf. The burning pain was definitely number one, but he also didn't like the way he didn't have control and the way he couldn't seem to get his human brain to communicate with his wolf brain sometimes.
Like now, for instance.
He'd been staying mostly in Fantasyland since he knew that's where he had his wolfiness and he knew what a bonus that could be. But he'd run into the Small World ride for some shelter and come across a few of the muttations in there. Terrifying. Now he remembered how he always used to avoid Small World when he came here, and he wished he'd kept to that. Of course as soon as their teeth came out, Atticus' wolf side took over, and he shifted, howling painfully, and took off running.
And because he couldn't get his wolf and human sides to be friends, he couldn't tell his wolf brain not to run into Tomorrowland, so that's exactly what it did as it sprinted from the terrifying children.
As soon as he crossed the border, there was a painful shift back, and Atticus was left, naked and sweating and still running further into Tomorrowland. (Sometimes his human brain took a little while to take over again.) |

| WHO| Wesker and OTA WHAT| Wandering/Resting WHERE| The Haunted Mansion Graveyard WHEN| The Night of the Cornucopia WARNINGS/NOTES| It's Wesker. That should be warning enough. Note wise, he'll be making his way to Tomorrowland and his powers soon, so if anybody wants a chat at time when he'll be less likely to kill you, now's your chance. ( Left you love notes on their headstones. ) |

| The last few hours before the Arena have a strangely stifled quality, as if half the people they interact with are trying very hard not to laugh. Maybe it's the costumes, the fancy gowns and velvet tunics, the short capes. Or maybe it's their destination. The round courtyard to which the tubes bring them could not be more different from the last arena. Though outside the circle of pedestals, disrepair and neglect has taken over the roads and buildings, the garden inside the circle could not be more perfectly sculpted. Every hedge is a smooth, rounded shape. Flowers bloom brightly in concentric circles of insane color. The Cornucopia sits gleaming and golden, and just in front of its mouth, a bronze statue of a man and a mouse stands amid the heap of supplies. 20, shouts the voice from the sky. Aside from it, there is a hush. No flies in the flowers, no wind in the trees. It is a cool day, with the comfortable chill of early spring and noon's short shadows. 19 - 18 - 17 Outside the circle, behind the tributes on the northern side, a castle looms. Through its wide gate, devastation everywhere, but it, itself, is shining clean, glowing pink and blue. Opaque windows look down from the heights of it, as uncaring as every hidden camera the veterans know is there. 12 - 11 Music starts as the countdown nears the bottom, a whimsical, dramatic tune. 3

1 And with the final note, the gong rang out, and a firework shot into the sky from the castle's peak, bright enough to burst redly across the sky above them all. Let the Games begin.
