| Who| MCU!Bucky Barnes, Peggy Carter and possibly Steve Rogers What| A reunion Where| Second floor? When| The second day of the arena Warnings/Notes| Peggy Carter being a bamf, Bucky being Bucky ( How could I ever forget? ) |

| It’s pre-dawn when the Tributes are roused from their beds and sent to their tubes. Those who’d been imprisoned for the past few weeks had their heads covered before transport to the staging area, and there’s an air of confusion surrounding just about everything that’s happening until the stylists and managers arrive on the scene and try to calm everyone down. The reunions may be happy, but they're sadly very temporary. The first clue that something strange is happening comes from their clothing: figure skating costumes with bright colors and sequins and ice skates strapped to their feet. Some may even find it difficult to stand with the blades on their feet, but as they're placed into the arena, all becomes clear. The mall skating rink seems quiet and quaint, especially after weeks of uncertainty and stress. Too bad the peace and quiet can’t last. 20

18...Above the ice rink (which houses all 100+ Tributes) there are floors with shops looking over them. Large, bright fluorescent lights dot the multi-storied ceiling and create a warm, nostalgic glow to the place. Benign music is piped in from various hidden speakers to compliment the intended mood of fun and commerce. 17
16
15…The countdown continues and the Tributes, some of whom haven’t seen each other in weeks, stare at one another helplessly. That is, until one of them boldly decides to speak. "We're expected to fight here today," Steve's voice suddenly cuts through the tension in the room. It commands attention without demanding it, a conviction of truth in his tone. 14
13
12..."To turn on each other through fear and self preservation. And we could give them what they want. A bloodbath," here he pauses longer, lets the reality of his statements sink in. Let people realize what he's saying, that this is a choice. "Or we can choose not to fight. To instead work together," an option so many seem not to even realize they have. "No one here has to die by our hands today," he knows his speaking won't be without consequence, but he does want to believe he'll be the only one to pay for this. "This is a risk. One many of you are hesitant to trust, let alone take. But everything we do here is a risk to ourselves and those around us," nothing in the arena comes without putting your life on the line. "I, for one, am willing to take this risk, to choose not to fight," Steve looks around the room, making eye contact with a few people as he does. He's not telling anyone what to do, this is for them to decides for themselves; their freedom of choice. But he's got faith in the his fellow tributes. "And I've got a feeling I'm not alone.” … 3

1…After the countdown ends, there’s a moment of utter still and silence. Then... BOOOOOOOOOOOMThe room seems to erupt with noise and concussive force. The explosions are so violent that the muzak is paused in its tracks and shakes some of the Tributes off of their pedestals, and after the ice fog and smoke clears, it becomes apparent that fifteen of the Tribute pedestals and exploded there on the ice rink. Fifteen corpses lie mangled on the bloody ice: Deanna Winchester, Danny Fenton, Fili, Kili, Kain Highwind, Perry Kelvin, Julian Bashir, Clint Barton, Karkat Vantas, Sirius Black, Rahm Kota, Cinderella, Bunnymund, Robin, Rock Lee, and Rokk Krin. The center of the ice rink remains completely intact and stocked with a few dozen keys of varying shapes and sizes. This is the Cornucopia and the Gamemakers are compelling the Tributes to skate for it. The gong rings out, and the countdown's voice announces “The Arena is now open.” The Games have begun. - Tags:! arena 11, aang, albert heinrich, bucky barnes (mcu), cassandra marko, clara murphy, commander shepard, harley quinn, jet link, molotov cocktease, sigma klim, the grand highblood, the signless, ✘ alex murphy, ✘ astrid hofferson, ✘ brainiac 5, ✘ bruce banner, ✘ bucky barnes (616), ✘ carlos the scientist, ✘ clementine, ✘ dave strider, ✘ dennett norton, ✘ donatello, ✘ edward nygma, ✘ elsa, ✘ eridan ampora, ✘ hiccup, ✘ homura akemi, ✘ joel, ✘ justin hammer, ✘ kankri vantas, ✘ kurloz makara, ✘ mindy macready, ✘ nasir, ✘ natasha romanoff, ✘ peggy carter, ✘ pruna, ✘ rocket raccoon, ✘ ruffnut thorston, ✘ skye, ✘ sollux captor, ✘ steve rogers, ✘ tess, ✘ tony stark

| Who| Anyone left in then arena, particularly anyone who wants to die. What| A dragon. Yep. Where| The areas around Rivers of America. When| Dusk, late in the week. Warnings/Notes| See below. The areas around New Orleans Square and Frontierland have been appealing lately. Rich, delicious smell have been coming from them, at first very subtle, but today rich. Smells that by pass your nose an sneak into your brain that something good and delicious is here. The trees are blooming, the animals scurrying around seem almost friendly. And, you know, easy to catch. It just feels nicer over there. Anyone near the River's of America could see the ripples that day, if they were looking. They were the pattern of something large moving under the water, but anyone who'd spent time around the river knew it was certainly not deep enough to hold something that big. Must just be ducks diving. Just as the final rays of dusk began to fade from the sky, music began to once again play over the loud speakers. What might have once been an epic song was reedy, broken and old, the eerie tune warbling through the quiet air before sputtering out into heavy silence. And then the water burst up, and up, and up with a massive roar. The beast was massive, black wings stretching up towards the sky as it's body writhed out of the water, shaking the ground as it stepped on to it. It was hungry, it was pissed, and it was not happy to be at Disneyland. And, as it opened it's massive jaw to screech it's rages at the sky, it let out a blast of fire that arched up to the sky, flattening against the previously invisible forcefield above it's head. And then it started to move. To seek out prey. And to leave it's mark all over. ( OOC notes ) |

| Who: Peggy Carter and OPEN What: Arrival When: early Tuesday morning Where: Cornucopia and exploring Main Street Warnings: none yet
Peggy had thought her life had prepared her for any number of odd situations, yet none of them could have prepared her for this. The only redemption to the costume they had forced her into was the boots and cape. The rest would have to go. Immediately if possible. She couldn't be expected to run in all this, stay well hidden or even defend herself. God only knew what the men were wearing. That she had been briefed at all seemed like something of a miracle, but they didn't tell her anything more useful than what she was going to be doing.
She stepped off the platform and into the arena with the sobriety of someone walking to the gallows, but even then she couldn't help gawking. She had seen wreckage. Seen smoldering remains and hollowed homes, bodies falling into mud and on fire and exploding into millions of pieces, yet she still couldn't pretend the sight before her was anything less than extraordinary.
And it was early.
People who managed to sleep would soon be waking and God knew what other kinds of dangers there might be lurking in the hidden shadows, but she was only as good as her knowledge of her surroundings, and there was nothing left for her if she just stood there. Staying alive would be nice, but if she had to chose between death through violence and starving she would pick a fatal wound every time.
So she needed to find food. Food and then shelter and if lucky a place to ditch this bloody awful dress. |
