Who| Glinda and Venus
What| Death log
Where| Arena 1
When| Week 3
Warnings/Notes| Death.

She was starving again. This was the part that she had dreaded about the arena after the last two. She had been fortunate enough to get a small package of food from Eva sometime in the second week and survived until now off that and what food she could thieve and filch from the other tributes. A task made all the harder by the tall wings that protruded from the back of her dress that couldn't be ripped off without destroying the rest of the dress.

The witch was fatigued, shaky and tired. She wanted out of the arena now. She wanted back to the Capitol with its warm beds, hot food and pleasant chit chat. But for now she needed food. It was just a matter of finding a camp or a tribute that she could get food from.

Who | Glinda and Open
What | Watch the Witch attempt a daring escape. And fail
Where | Fantasyland
When | Toward the end of week one
Notes | She's only going to attempt floating once before falling down to the ground. So multiple threads will have to be after the event.

It had been difficult to scramble up to the top of the castle. It wasn't exactly designed to accommodate climbing on it. The higher would be better. Less chance to be spotted and cast down if she wasn't floating for long. A few simple spells had told her that she could use her magic. And if she could use her magic then why shouldn't she use it to escape?

Glinda summoned her bubble, letting it grow around her and lift her up.

She was beginning to think that perhaps she really had escaped when the bubble hit some form of barrier and the bubble popped. The witch fell towards the ground with a scream. She would surely be killed. An instinctual bout of magic created a barrier that meant she hit the floor with slightly less force than expected but it was still far from a soft landing.

WHO | Copycat, Glinda
WHAT | Shapeshifting Mutant vs. Witch
WHEN | The day before the finale
WHERE | In one of the fissures
WARNINGS / NOTES | Character death. Violence. The usual.

The clock is ticking down to the final hours of the games, by the sounds of the cannons going off in the sky, and by now Copycat has gotten her hands incredibly dirty (to the inevitable joy of the Capitol, no less) but with the numbers dwindling down the chances of someone just stumbling across her little crevasse? It's beginning to look like she might actually need to hunt.

Not that it's a difficult task, seeing as she spends most of her time as Sabretooth, which allows her to hear and smell a stranger from almost a mile away. And as fate would have it, she's caught a scent. Ooh, and it's nearby!

Copycat shifts to her human form - Vanessa Carlysle -- average height, long blonde curls and golden amber eyes -- to begin her approach looking completely frightened and harmless.

Just the way she likes it.

WHO| Glinda and open
WHAT| Glinda figures out that the crevices are her friends.
WHEN| Third Week
WHERE| Crevices.
WARNINGS/NOTES| None yet, will update as needed.

She had decided to try to make it on her own. Christopher and Draco where both back in the Capitol now and she couldn't help but be paranoid that she was going to end up dead if she kept stumbling into other people's shelters and begging to stay for the night. It also didn't make for very entertaining watching. She had to show she was cunning on her own.

Glinda had been headed back to the Cornucopia to see if she could scavenge any cans left behind to sooth her rumbling stomach. But she hadn't been paying attention to her footing, so hungry was she, only to find herself falling with a small scream. The blonde landed hard onto the ice below her. It took her a good few moments to gather herself and scrape herself off the floor. Glinda ended up pulling off her back, arrows and bow and setting them to the side as she curled in on herself tightly, finding herself wishing that she had something to warm her.

The witch let out a squeal of surprise when a small orb of fire appeared in front of her. Her magic! She could use her magic in this arena. The grin on her face could have split her face with how large it was. Soon enough she was sitting inside her bubble with a relatively comfortable campsite around her and dozing, content with the thought that if someone approached she would be able to sense them now before they even got near her bubble.

Who| Glinda and open
What| Searching for a camp
Where| All over the place. Feel free to run into her anywhere in the arena
When| First week
Warnings| None so far
Notes | If Glinda falls into one of the crevices she gets her magic back, let me know if you want to do something with that!

She had been fortunate.

A bow and arrow on her back, food squirrelled away in her jacket along with water and a sleeping bag that admittedly let in the water a little but was far better than just sleeping rough.

But Glinda was getting cold. Not the kind of cold that merely made a witch shiver but one that froze her to her bones. A sponsor had sent her fire making equipment but she needed shelter so she could kindle it. So she searched, keeping her bow notched with an arrow and her sleeping bag wrapped around her as she searched for a cave that could house her.

WHO| Neeshka and Glinda
WHAT| Neeshka gets Glinda out of the arena
WHEN| Day 2, afternoon
WHERE| Just outside the ruins
WARNING/NOTES| Death will happen here! Probably slow-ish death, too.

Even before she found Wyatt again, Neeshka was a happy camper. She'd got a very useful weapon, a lot of useful stuff in her bag-- and a nice, warm coat that she'd promptly muddied up to keep the reflective bits from giving her away. She'd prowled around the ruins a bit, shot herself a rat for breakfast, and was now perched in a long-broken second story window, half-hidden in the afternoon shadows, looking down on the grass, canyon, and beach.

She was looking for something-- or someone-- to shoot.

For some this is starting to be routine. For some it is new, and little is done to ease them into it. The peacekeepers are never warm on these flights, but they are rougher, quieter today, and after having their tracking devices inserted or reactivated, the tributes don't see them until they are lead to small, metal rooms.

They are dressed quietly by their stylist, and the stylist move quicker this time, dressing them in heavy cargo pants, boots, thick socks, an undershirt and sweater. A light, plastic jacket is laid over the top, with a hood and plenty of pockets.

They are lead to tubes, with a reminder not to leave the pedestal. The tubes are metal this time, thick, the door sliding closed over them and leaving the tributes in the small, dark area. Entombed until they start the smooth rise to the surface.

25 - 24 - 23

Rising to the surfaces, they can see before them a building, ravished by time but still standing. Behind it, cliffs fall to the ocean, glittering in the sun for miles and miles, a dark blue distance that offers no escape. Behind them, the last trails of fog lead into a forest, still spotted with the lingering remains of the buildings that had once stood there. The air is cool, crisp, and the warmth of the sweater can be appreciated quickly.

20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16

One wall of the building before them is gone, exposing deep into the building's heart. There, about 50 yards into the ruins, lies the cornucopia. It's weapons and supplies are scattered among the ruins, dropped haphazardly among crumbling walls and exposed rebar.

11- 10 - 9 - 8

Warned not to move from their pedestals, they are given the last 10 seconds to plans their attack.

The gong sounds, clear in the crisp air. Let the games begin.

[OOC: Check here if your character ran for the cornucopia to see your results. Post here to play those out.

Characters on reserve have until Wednesday, Nov 14th to be eligible to tag into this arena and this post, but anyone who did not sign up for the Cornucopia will be handwaved as having not not been part of the Cornucopia battle.]
