| WHO| Howard, Draco, Eponine and Lindsay WHAT| Howard and Draco run into each other, Eponine dies. WHEN| Week 2 WHERE| Fantasyland WARNINGS/NOTES: Death, mind control. ( Because I can see in the dark... ) |
|
| WHO| Lindsey McDonald [OPEN] WHAT| Time to explore Disneyland! WHEN| First week WHERE| Around the Eastern areas, eventually circling back to Fantasyland. (Main Street, Tomorrowland, Toon Town, Fantasyland) WARNINGS/NOTES| Violence and Disney bashing? D:
First time ever visiting Disneyland and it had to be post nuclear apocalypse with everything broken and askew. This was the most messed up Disneyland vacation ever.
Lindsey fled east after the Cornucopia and it wasn't long before he entered the area of futuristic buildings. Unsurprisingly, he also seemed to be separated from anyone he knew. Still, the first order of things was to find himself a weapon and check over his bag. Looking around, he eventually came upon the wreckage of a large monorail train.
"Welcome to the happiest place on earth," he muttered. He hefted a large metal bar that looked it like might have once been the stage support and was satisfied that it was a good weight for swinging. "Now just have to find myself some faery dust." |

| Who| Anyone still left alive at the last day of the arena What| The finale Where| The whole arena When| The last day of the arena Warnings/Notes| I'm so sorry this is late. If this doesn't work into your threads, just handwave you died before this event.
When the weapons had been left at the cornucopia, before anyone had time to circle back, the ice has crept over them, sealing them beneath the ice, deep enough that their presence wasn't even detectable from the surface. At dawn that day, the ice had melted away, leaving only the weapons bases still stuck into the ice, the blades and staffs protruding from the icy lake surrounding them into the bright sunlight.
In addition to the scattered weapons that had remained at the cornucopia, there was an arsenal of new weapons, swords, blades, spears...more than enough to go around. But the invitation to this feast wasn't a passive one. As the sun rose, the groaning and creaking of the iceberg gave way to action, putting the earlier collapse to shame. Huge chunks began to break apart, some sliding into the sea, some opening up gaping crevasses that went much farther than the ones woven through the arena, ones that went straight down to hard rock underneath.
The sea rushed into these to meet the land in unpredictable surges, as the chunks of ice slipping into the sea create a series of small tidal waves. But this collapse isn't random, not at all. It's pushing all the remaining tributes together, right into the middle. Right to the weapons. Happy Hunger Games. |

| WHO| Sherlock, Danny, Lindsey, and Tony WHAT| Sherlock gets dead. ded ded ded. WHEN| 3rd Week WHERE| In a crevasse. WARNINGS/NOTES| Death, fighting, gore, snarkyness, etc. The crevasse seemed to stretch on forever. They had been walking for some time, now, stopping once or twice to rest and to eat what meager supplies they had left, but there was still no way to climb up, that they could find. Even with Danny's axe. Sherlock did not bother to mention the fact that two of his fingers on his right hand and at least three of his toes were well into the symptoms of frostbite. He'd complained about it once, when it was still half a joke, but as there was nothing either of them could do about it, continued complaints were pointless. He kept his failing body to himself. The hunger was too obvious to mention. Sherlock had never eaten much, especially while on a case - but he had never been in a situation where he had actually wanted to eat and it was completely unavailable to him. It was frustrating on an entirely new level. He came to an abrupt halt as suddenly the crevasse ended - the further path too narrow for either of them to fit, and Sherlock cursed under his breath. "Nothing," he said, happy to point out the obvious. "No way up here, either." [ooc: tagging order: i was thinking sherlock, then danny, then lindsey, and then tony can jump into the thread whenever feels appropriate? y/y?] |

| WHO| Lindsey and OPEN WHAT| Lindsey thought hiding in a crevice is a good idea to get out of the wind. Turns out it's a great idea. He's going to kill some people. WHEN| 3rd Week WHERE| Ice fields and crevice WARNINGS/NOTES| Death, backstabbing, fighting, blood, gore. You know the drill.
A frozen wasteland. This arena had to be a freaking frozen wasteland. All the hard work that he put into learning those edible wild plants, as insisted by Eliot, was a waste of time when there wasn't even a leaf to be found anywhere.
He had hidden himself into the nooks and nannies, barely surviving, but who knew how much longer this could last. So when some hospitable sponsor gave him a rope, he decided to make good use of it by lowering himself into one of those large fissures in the ice, hoping that it would at least keep him out of the wind.
He made one of them his 'hideout' and spent the rest of the time trying to find hunt for anything. Birds for feathers, meat, eggs, even their stinky nests so he could get some things to burn. And, if he was lucky, he'll catch a tribute unaware too. Lindsey was damn determined to stay alive in this one. |
|
| Usually, the tribute's outfits for the arena aren't accessorized. But today, the last thing their stylists hand them before the countdown begins is a pair of heavy black glasses, polarized and thick-lensed. They look at odds with the thick, winter gear they've been outfitted in.
It's a long rise to the surface today, inside their individual little tubes, much longer than usual. They start to feel the cold only about halfway up, and to hear the wind. It howls across the surface as they reach it, pressing all of their clothes flat against their bodies. And the reason for the glasses is immediately apparent.
20 - 19 - 18
The sky is white. The ground is white (and gray and black and blue but mostly white), the far-off sea is blinding silver. Everything in sight flings light around, fractures it into scintilating rainbows and sheer white beams of reflection. It is strong, cruel light, and it bears no heat at all. The surface is so cold that the little metal trackers ache in everyone's arm, and the countdown has to continue at a deafening volume to be heard.
12 - 11 - 10 -
The circle of silver pedestals is the only regular shape to be seen. All else is fractured and split, the most uneven footing imaginable. And at the center of the circle, the Cornucopia sports icycles hanging from its lip, almost to the pile of supplies tucked all neatly inside its mouth.

There's a lull in the wind just as the gong sounds, letting it peal out across the frozen glacier, and echo off the high rock cliffs in the distance. And the ice answers, with a loud crack that seems to come from miles down.

| WHO | Dean Winchester and OPEN WHAT | Finding out Anna's dead WHEN | After the final death toll at the end of week two WHERE | Back at his burrow shelter WARNINGS | Dean being an emo kid.
Dean had gone out for a hunt, but not the kind he was used to. He wanted to find some form of leaf, berry, nut, or even animal he could attempt to make into food. Sure, he wasn't the best cook in the world, but at least he was able to make things from woodland creatures and their rabbit diets, thanks to movies. He had managed to find some nuts fallen from a tree in the forest, and was about to get some rabbit meat before he had to book it to avoid getting killed by a fellow tribute, or kill them. He still really wasn't up for killing someone unless it was absolutely necessary.
After he managed to find his way back to his burrow, it had hit nightfall. He couldn't see or hear anything, so his first instinct was that Anna was asleep in the cave, and that was all. But all of a sudden the canons sounded, and he looked up in the sky.
There she was. The girl he'd spent the last two weeks with, was there. In the sky. And Dean knew exactly what that meant: he broke his promise. He said he'd keep her safe, he said that she wouldn't die, and what happened? She died. He hated himself. He screwed up by not protecting her. But he couldn't give up. She told him not to give up.
Going back into the burrow, he let himself cry it out a bit. You don't spend that much time with one person and end up not having some form of feelings for them, Dean was no sociopath. So... she was gone. He was alone, and short of keeping himself alive, he had nothing else to do in there but wait.
