after the feast
Who| Klaine
What| Kurt comes back from the feast to a Blaine who is extremely paranoid about losing him.
Where| Adventureland
When| Set right after the "feast"
Warnings/Notes| This is way backdated. Sorry folks! Candy and I got busy. Also, this is even more painful given the death roll this week.
[Blaine felt like he was going crazy. He was packing up the supplies they had in a hurry as he waited for every canon blast. He should have explained better. He should have been very, very clear with Kurt.
You don't go to their parties. You don't attend feasts. You don't go to anything they want you too.
All he could think about was the videos he had seen of the ways that they would set up Tributes. They had even done it to Katniss and she had almost died because of it! Oh god, what if it was Kurt now on the floor with some crazy person above him with a knife?
Blaine felt his heart hammering in his chest as he barely kept a hold of the panic.
He'd be sure to explain it now, if Kurt came back.
Please, please, please be okay.
He was just crossing toward the walkway the lead to Fantasyland when he saw Kurt returning. His stomach twisted up with so much relief that he didn't care about attracting attention.]
You're okay! [He yelled as he ran to Kurt. He looked pretty banged up but he was standing and hand all of his limbs. Blaine felt tears of relief come to his eyes and blinked them away stubbornly. he would not lose it in front of the entire Capitol.]
Oh thank God, you're okay.

It was amazing.

That's exactly it. We weren't in the right state of mind.

We hooked up.
At Mr. Schue's wedding, we hooked up.

Blaine...

[Blaine starts before he can stop himself. For a moment he hesitates but then goes forward anyway.]
Don't tell me it didn't mean anything.
no subject
It didn't, Blaine. It was just... [He sighs again.] I shouldn't have said anything.

[Blaine knows that he can't really say either way. It hasn't happened to him yet, and it probably never will. He wants Kurt to tell him what he thought of it, to explain. He also wants to see if there's even a little bit of doubt in Kurt's voice when he says it meant nothing.]
no subject
[His voice is quiet and trembling slightly. He's starting to get upset.]
no subject
Did you like it?

[Because he doesn't even question if he enjoyed it. Of course he did. He was (will be?) with Kurt.
Still, saying it makes his mouth feel a little dry and his heart ache dully.]

[He looks away from Blaine, but doesn't seem to mind that he's so close. That's the problem, isn't it? They're so close now, all the time. Kurt can't even think anymore.]

You really should relax and let that medicine do its magic.

[He looks at Blaine's hand on his arm. The way it makes him feel--warm and safe--is not the way one is supposed to feel around their cheating ex-boyfriend. Kurt isn't even sure what he is supposed to feel. This is all so confusing, especially since all he wants to do is cling to Blaine until this nightmare is done and they can go home.]
But...
Blaine, when this is over, the arena is over? I think we should spend some time apart.
no subject
The Capitol is just as dangerous as the Arena, and it's only going to be a matter of time until the next one. We should stick together.

Blaine... This isn't good for us. [He tugs back his arm gently.] It's not good for me, it's-- It's confusing.
[He takes a step back.] It was easier in New York, you know?

I don't want to confuse you but I can't take that risk. Please, I'll back off of the relationship stuff. I won't kiss you anymore if that makes you feel too confused, but please don't leave.
