after the feast
Who| Klaine
What| Kurt comes back from the feast to a Blaine who is extremely paranoid about losing him.
Where| Adventureland
When| Set right after the "feast"
Warnings/Notes| This is way backdated. Sorry folks! Candy and I got busy. Also, this is even more painful given the death roll this week.
[Blaine felt like he was going crazy. He was packing up the supplies they had in a hurry as he waited for every canon blast. He should have explained better. He should have been very, very clear with Kurt.
You don't go to their parties. You don't attend feasts. You don't go to anything they want you too.
All he could think about was the videos he had seen of the ways that they would set up Tributes. They had even done it to Katniss and she had almost died because of it! Oh god, what if it was Kurt now on the floor with some crazy person above him with a knife?
Blaine felt his heart hammering in his chest as he barely kept a hold of the panic.
He'd be sure to explain it now, if Kurt came back.
Please, please, please be okay.
He was just crossing toward the walkway the lead to Fantasyland when he saw Kurt returning. His stomach twisted up with so much relief that he didn't care about attracting attention.]
You're okay! [He yelled as he ran to Kurt. He looked pretty banged up but he was standing and hand all of his limbs. Blaine felt tears of relief come to his eyes and blinked them away stubbornly. he would not lose it in front of the entire Capitol.]
Oh thank God, you're okay.

Hi. [His arms are slashed and bleeding, but he manages to hold out the bag of supplies.] I got this.
no subject
[Blaine does feel a little proud over Kurt going out there and getting supplies, but mostly he's horrified over the idea of Kurt going alone.]
no subject
[Despite how weak and sick he feels, there's a sting of anger.] Excuse me, but how many supplies have you gotten us? I risked my neck for this.
no subject
That's my point. Your neck is more important than anything else...

There's healing stuff in there. I didn't use it because-- Well, I wasn't sure if someone else [you] might need it more.
no subject
Come on. I'll help you back to camp.
[He helps support Kurt until they're back into their little hiding place. Then he carefully helps Kurt sit down and focuses on opening the bag to check out all of the supplies.
He is really impressed by what Kurt's managed to bring in such a nice haul. He doesn't want to encourage going into danger though so for now he focuses on the medicine and checking out Kurt's wounds to help patch him up.]

Those cakes in there will last us a while. A little bite seems really filling.

The bag is pretty great, Kurt. I just... I thought you might have died. I went a little crazy.
no subject
I can take care of myself, Blaine.
no subject
But I spent the time between my first Arena and this one watching tapes of Arenas. I know the kind of messed up things these people do.
no subject
What things?
no subject
[For a moment Blaine just looks traumatized and shaken.]
I should probably talk to you, shouldn't I? About that stuff. You need to know.
It's just not easy to talk about.
no subject
Y-you don't have to. Blaine... [He gingerly puts a hand on his arm.] I'm sorry for running off. I didn't mean to scare you.
no subject
[He moved closer at the touch.]
You can't get hurt, okay? Take care of yourself first.
no subject
[He swallows, then draws his hand away, looking down at the bag again.]
Did you want a little cake? Are you hungry?

[He breaks off a little piece then holds it up to Blaine's mouth.]
Open up.
no subject
He leans forward and opens his mouth to take the food. His heart flutters a little with desire and need.]
That's good. Thank you.
no subject
[He draws his hand back and lets it fall into his lap. Cue awkward silence.]
no subject
You were really brave to go, though...
[He moves his hand up through his hair. The worst part of the Arena, other than all the death and terror, is that his curls are wild and tangled around his head. He can focus on them when he feels awkward and uncertain.]

I don't want to lose you.
no subject
I'm going to stretch my legs a bit.
no subject
Kurt, wait. We need to talk.
no subject
I don't need you to supervise me when I go for a walk, Blaine. I promise I won't go far.
