Mini Arena 2
Tributes are woken early, and the hovercraft ride is a long one. Not the longest some have experienced, but they are clearly going far.
25 - 24 - 23
They land on the deck of the boat, and are ushered underneath, to the lower levels, quickly. Their stylists go from cabin to cabin, decking them out in over the top finery, before loading them into the pods installed into the corners of the rooms.
20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16
The platforms lift them up, and they are all ringed around a grand buffet table, loaded with a grand feast looking ready to sag down from the weight. Among the food are supplies, plenty of them, all for the taking.
11- 10 - 9 - 8
They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. That's all this is about, a good show. None of them have been told that there can be multiple winners this time around.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. The games have begun.

"It's alright," she reassures him as he starts ripping off the back half of her dress. "She'll kill both of us. We'll die together." Just another day, right?
no subject
"I'll take that over this any day." He admits, his tone sounding more than a little defeated as he glances around. "If we keep floating here we're going to die of hypothermia."

Well. Whoops?
She recovers from her little blunder quickly enough, though, and now that her skirt is ripped off to a scandalous length, they can get the heck out of Dodge.
"You're right. Should we try getting to the stairs?"
no subject
"Sounds like a master plan." He agrees, sort of. Glancing around worriedly and trying to will himself to let go of the edge of the table. "You go ahead." He urges, no joking lilt to his voice.

"It's fine, I'm fine," she reassures him. "Just c-cold. Come on, let go."
no subject
He cringes as she cries, inhaling as discreetly as he can and pushing back, trying to force himself not to flounder as he scoots himself back to the nearest wall.
"Stairs aren't too far from here. I think." He forces his voice to steady. "Gonna be an easy trip."
no subject
"Look, over there. That ought to lead to the stairs." She really, really hopes she's right, because her toes are starting to go numb and she's afraid of what that means.
no subject
"Holy shit-" Is about all he manage to sputter out as he gets swept off to the side by a barrage of tables and chairs. "Fuck this- Anna?" He calls out, clinging desperately to whatever seems sturdy right now.
no subject
Not that they will.
She's swimming for the door when she hears an ominous groaning and creaking of wood, followed by Dave calling out in surprise. She turns, looking for him, and panics when she can't immediately see him, but that's not the worst of it. Some of the furniture is headed for her, too, and she lets out a gasp as she's hit in the chest and stomach by a fast-floating table, knocking the wind out of her.
"Dave--!" She sputters, trying to get the air back. "Are you okay? Where are you?"
