Mini Arena 2

Tributes are woken early, and the hovercraft ride is a long one. Not the longest some have experienced, but they are clearly going far.

25 - 24 - 23

They land on the deck of the boat, and are ushered underneath, to the lower levels, quickly. Their stylists go from cabin to cabin, decking them out in over the top finery, before loading them into the pods installed into the corners of the rooms.

20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16

The platforms lift them up, and they are all ringed around a grand buffet table, loaded with a grand feast looking ready to sag down from the weight. Among the food are supplies, plenty of them, all for the taking.

11- 10 - 9 - 8

They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. That's all this is about, a good show. None of them have been told that there can be multiple winners this time around.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. The games have begun.

This is the most graceless he's look in his entire life, he thinks. He's devoid of swag, all he possesses is the ability to doggy paddle and flail around in the water, but he feels like he's making process. Until he hears something creaking in the distance. What he hears is the sound of a load of floating furniture finally busting through a door when the ship is angled just enough for the cascade of furniture to flow fast toward them.

"Holy shit-" Is about all he manage to sputter out as he gets swept off to the side by a barrage of tables and chairs. "Fuck this- Anna?" He calls out, clinging desperately to whatever seems sturdy right now.

She notices, of course, how ridiculous Dave looks, but now isn't the time to be pointing that out. What he needs is for her to have faith that they can both come out of this unscathed.

Not that they will.

She's swimming for the door when she hears an ominous groaning and creaking of wood, followed by Dave calling out in surprise. She turns, looking for him, and panics when she can't immediately see him, but that's not the worst of it. Some of the furniture is headed for her, too, and she lets out a gasp as she's hit in the chest and stomach by a fast-floating table, knocking the wind out of her.

"Dave--!" She sputters, trying to get the air back. "Are you okay? Where are you?"
