Mini Arena 2
Tributes are woken early, and the hovercraft ride is a long one. Not the longest some have experienced, but they are clearly going far.
25 - 24 - 23
They land on the deck of the boat, and are ushered underneath, to the lower levels, quickly. Their stylists go from cabin to cabin, decking them out in over the top finery, before loading them into the pods installed into the corners of the rooms.
20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16
The platforms lift them up, and they are all ringed around a grand buffet table, loaded with a grand feast looking ready to sag down from the weight. Among the food are supplies, plenty of them, all for the taking.
11- 10 - 9 - 8
They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. That's all this is about, a good show. None of them have been told that there can be multiple winners this time around.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. The games have begun.

Yus
At least, not until his mind clicked as to what was happening. The girl had been kneeling down, near electricity, in water, and--
Oh, shell. He knew he wanted to win, this time, but on the other hand, he didn't feel right at least not warning the girl that doing what he was pretty sure she was about to do was a very, very bad idea.
"HEY!"
He was back in her vicinity again.
What was in that bundle...? Actually, no, no, focus on the problem at hand.
"Don't touch that!"
Re: Yus
Said weapon was apparently a large irritated rat.

The next thing Don knew, he was catching a flailing rat in his hands. Just as quickly he dropped it into the water.
"What are you doing?!"
no subject
Ruffnut's yelp was more that the rat he dropped into the water shrieked and then burst like an overcooked sausage.
"WHOA!" She called out again eyes wide. "What the heck just happened?! The Rat exploded!"
She was torn between shock and wonder at the sudden impossibility of exploding rats.

Then back to the wires.
"Not really no." She confessed betraying her ignorance.

"You mean they actually tried to contain Thor's power? Does Thor know?" She gaped and leaned in close once again making the hair on her head rise up.

"Ions?" She asked as if that would clear it up. She seemed to have spotted something in the water because she drew closer to it squinting.

Don's eyes watched Ruffnut as it moved closer. As much as he had promised to win, he also knew being electrocuted was a nasty end. Not exactly one he'd wish for a kid like this.
A kid who was probably around his age."What are you doing!? Don't touch it-!"

She pointed with her finger only two inches from the surface at the water.
"If you can't swim it's fine, I'm a great swimmer."
no subject
Point. Instinct to protect overtook his caution, and he leapt forward.
"DON'T TOUCH IT-!"
no subject
...well at least she was away from the water. However momentum might be a problem.
cw: electrocution
"No-"
And then he was shuddering, dancing, as he hit the water face first. The voltage shot violently through him, and sickening snaps could be heard in the water and in the turtle himself as time went by. There was no more intelligible sound to be heard from him, even while his body involuntarily smoked and jerked long after life had left it.
Re: cw: electrocution
This was clearly not the case as the Turtle man splashed into the water and lay still, smoldering and jerking.
Despite herself, she couldn't help but smile.
"That...was awesome!"
