Some saves the day
Who| Pruna, Sandy and Some
What| The volcano goes off, Some is a hero
Where| Third floor
When| Wednesday of week 3
Warnings/Notes| Volcanoes, fire, liquid nitrogen, burns, angry small hurt murder children
It hadn't taken Pruna long to find the screen that sometimes showed where other tributes were. And so she was there now, on her tiptoes studying it before it went back to the people who wanted gold.
She could see the dots that were her and Pruna, and one or two more dots on this floor but none close enough to be of danger yet. She grinned and pointed to the screen about to explain to Sandy how they could sneak up on one of them, when a rumbling interrupted her. The ground began to shake violently.
She looked around, worried. "What do that be being?"

"Um...in case of Earthquakes...we need to find something to get under in case the roof collapses...either a table or a doorframe or like...an arch or something!" She shouted over the rumbling.

But instinct kept him from freezing up, when he heard the two girls. He sprinted for them both. "Outside wall!" he shouted, pulling up just out of weapon's reach, feet prancing. "Come on, not here!"
no subject
She blinked when Some appeared but then reached out to grab Sandy. "Where do we be going?" She asked some as the shaking got worse and lava began to pour down from the volcano.

Pruna was holding her hand as they ran and Sandy kept a firm grip on the mask, not yet willing to put up with another face ripping unless she had to.
"Anywhere's better then here!" She responded.
no subject
"B-both of you, I can carry you both," he stammered, reaching out a hand for each of the girls. When he spotted the mask, though, he stared.
"... Give me that."
no subject
She reached into her bag and pulled out a second mask, reaching out to give it to Some, all whilst watching the lava, fear in her eyes. It didn't look good, the heat was suffocating already.

She refused to leave Pruna behind again. This time they were sticking together no matter what that meant for their imminent deaths.

The roof! No, he hadn't tried teleporting there before, and his mistake with the barriers the other day made him scared - if he bounced off another shield he couldn't perceived, he could take them all into the path of the lava. Short jump, then. Into the stairwell itself. It was sturdy, it had stone walls.
"Hold tight," he said, forcing the mask into place, and took them. His teleportation was smooth. There was nothing to be felt in the dislocation between space and space, no moment of nothing or wrenching sensation. But he didn't quite manage to find the floor at the other end, popping them into being a few feet above the steps. The drop was nothing for him, but for the girls?

The next thing she knew she was falling, she did manage to turn it into a roll, but rolling down a staircase was not exactly an easy thing, and she soon found herself in a heap at the bottom hurting everywhere. "Sandy?"
no subject
Sandy had landed hard and was laying halfway up and down the stairs, upside down with her foot caught on the hand rail so her leg was in the air while the rest of her recovered on the stairs. She looked dazed from the landing and some blood was running down the stair where her head was laying. Apparently she'd hit it on landing.
"Alive." She added. "Ow." Not willing to move in case the sharp crack of her head on stairs was worse then she thought. The mask was still in hand, maybe she should...

She dug through her bag until she found the first aid kit, ignoring her own hurts for now, she wasn't bleeding and nothing felt broken. Sandy was in worse shape.
no subject
"I'm alive." she repeated.
no subject
"Can you move your feet? Your hands?"
no subject
no subject
"Yeah...yeah I'm OK. Head hurts but we're not dead." And Sandy's standards were starting to become so low that being not dead was really the best she could ask for.
no subject
"I can carry you both, on my back, but we need to move up. If it is bleeding- erupting here, it should only be worse below. Th-the whole building may fall."
no subject
"This do be being fucking stupid." She looked around, "Do they even be wanting a victor." No one would survive if the whole arena fell down.
no subject
"They'll probably turn it off after it's spread far enough." She noted when really that was just what she was hoping. "If they end the arena this soon what else will they distract the people with?"
no subject
no subject
"It do still be fucking stupid." She said, it was almost an insult. Like the Capitol didn't think them capable of killing each other or being interesting, so added more things to get them.
no subject
"There are these things in the ceiling." She mused as they started moving again "I saw on the movie screen, they put out fires. Maybe they can cool off that lava before it wrecks the building."
Then again being hopeful wasn't that helpful.

The spray that began was not water.
no subject
"Be covering your head." She snapped at Sandy and Some. Doing the same herself.

With a jerk she covered herself with it feeling the spatter of whatever the awful burning liquid was on the slick fabric of the cape. She'd only have a few moments before the cape started soaking it in.
"Teleport teleport teleport!!!" she demanded desperately.
Is this okay?
yup

Not sure where else they are going after this, wrapping up or ideas?
