Some saves the day
Who| Pruna, Sandy and Some
What| The volcano goes off, Some is a hero
Where| Third floor
When| Wednesday of week 3
Warnings/Notes| Volcanoes, fire, liquid nitrogen, burns, angry small hurt murder children
It hadn't taken Pruna long to find the screen that sometimes showed where other tributes were. And so she was there now, on her tiptoes studying it before it went back to the people who wanted gold.
She could see the dots that were her and Pruna, and one or two more dots on this floor but none close enough to be of danger yet. She grinned and pointed to the screen about to explain to Sandy how they could sneak up on one of them, when a rumbling interrupted her. The ground began to shake violently.
She looked around, worried. "What do that be being?"

She rumaged through it before she found some gel. She opened it to sniff it. "This might be helping."
It just occured to me I meant to write she put on a mask while under the cape and I totally forgot.
Somewhere between hiding under the orange cape and the most recent telaportation she had used another mask for herself and now it was firmly clamped on her face for the next eight minutes. A poor since of time had already lost track of how long Some had been wearing his.
The mask itself was a colorful thing with a bird beak. She hadn't really been paying attention at the time but now that she knew it was going to rip more off her face she was wondering if she should have tolerated the burns like Pruna and some.
Oh well it had allowed for her to smash up the drinking fountain. That was useful.

She opened another first aid kit, glad that they had been sent more than one, and threw another tub of gel at Sandy, still rubbing the gel on Some's back with her other hand.

She fumbled the tub a few times before catching it and looking pleased with herself.
"Oh my skin...yeah it's OK. This is just my power." She tapped her arm and the sound of two stones clicking together was achieved.
"I won't be able to rub this stuff on my burns till the timer on the mask runs out." And then she'd just want to rub it all over her face.

She continued rubbing gel on Some's back, finding the worst burns first.

"You're gonna wanna brace yourself, when the mask comes off it has like...hooks. They dig into your face." She warned Some.

"I tried to teleport out of the building the first time. It flung me halfway across the fourth floor, as the hooks struck. That is why I did not go far enough, this time," he explained, still guilty about that. "I don't kn-know what would have happened if I'd struck a barrier carrying you two."
no subject
"You did be trying to get out?" She wasn't surprised it didn't work, though it was disappointing, that he couldn't escape even with his powers.
no subject
"What else can you do? Teleporting, and climbing walls and stuff?" Maybe there was something else he could do for them before it wore off.

She continued putting the gel on him, because she would need to switch to Sandy the moment the mask wore off, Sandy still hadn't gotten the hang of the emptiness yet. Pruna herself was deep in it, the pain bouncing off the walls of the bubble around her.
Not sure where else they are going after this, wrapping up or ideas?
The water was starting to flood down the hallway now and it amused Sandy to kick the half an inch of water making it spray up onto the walls. It was better then just counting the seconds till the mask dug into her-
And just like that her stone skin faded and she felt the pinch in her face. "Aw crap."
It didn't hurt yet, but she couldn't just leave the mask on forever. She had to eat.
"That can't possibly have been as long as last time." She whined.
Some'll be gtfoing, since the mask amps up his hunger problems.

"Be breathing." She reminded her and looked over at Some, not sure whether he would need help.

Leave it to Pruna to get things done that needed to be done as quick as possible.

And oh stones, now there was fresh blood, its thick scent quick to drown out the sour of chemical-burnt flesh. Some felt his stomach clench, and he stamped a burnt foot, trying to distract himself.

Sometimes action just needed to be taken.

When she finished with that, her trembling hands lowered the fabric revealing her bloody and tear streaked face. Chunks of skin were missing from all around the edges, along with scabs that had been ripped open in the process. She had to keep her eyes closed from all the blood.
"Ow." She grumbled.

Sandy smelled like food.
Before he realized it, all his teeth were bare, and he stood very, very still, staring down at her, eyes wide.

She turned to Some and her eyes narrowed as she saw his teeth. Her knife was in her hand within moments, pointing towards him, a warning.

However as she felt Pruna move and the silence stretch on she tugged an errant bandage out of her eyes so she could see the sudden stand off.
"Oh what now?" She groaned too exhausted to be scared.
