Team ups
Who| Ian Gallagher, Blaine and open
What| Team up! Then anyone who wants to come hang out/be chased away/other shenanigans of week one (if you want to have a thread with them just jump in a new thread and the two of them will find you.)
Where| The jungle
When| About a day after Cornucopia
Warnings/Notes| None yet
If Ian wasn't sore and freezing from the downpour he had just been caught in he would have laughed at how badly he was doing in this arena. He hadn't thought it could go worse than the last where he had been poisoned and died within half an hour, but somehow it had.
He had managed to get nothing but a couple of rotten apples, which he had kept just in case, and an equally rotten piece of wood, which he had also kept, it could be a weapon, who said Gallagher's weren't resourceful?
He had thought that he wouldn't need the apples seeing all the fruit and animals around in the jungle. But trying some fruit had given him stomach cramps that had all but made him a sitting duck if anyone had found his hiding place, as it was he had had to fight off vines, and had luckily been able to climb a tree.
So the food was out. Two rotten apples and a piece of wood it was. Ian moved through jungle not staying still wondering if there was any end to it. A noise made him pause, and he lifted the piece of wood, ready.

He knew that made him a target though, so he was trying to stay on the move. He was working out a mental map of where the dangers had been so far when he saw movement up ahead and paused. Through the thick trees and plants is was hard to make out just who it was, but he got the vague shape down.
"Ian?" he asked, his voice low but still able to be heard. He hoped he wasn't wrong, and he held up the dart gun he had managed to get from his trip around the supplies just in case.

Then, after a moment, "Kurt's still missing," he added. Because verbally acknowledging it and looking a little heartbroken at it was a good show for the cameras. More than that, though, Ian was the only person who would understand what that meant.

"Shit." He shook his head. "Come on, you go first." They could talk when they were safe, and Ian had the feeling Blaine needed to talk.

"I looked for him at the Corocupia, but there was so much grass."

"I got really lucky. Are you hungry?"

"Do you mind eating the potato raw? I don't think there's a way for us to cook it up here."
no subject
"Yeah, raw potatoes aren't that bad." He tried to stay cheerful, after all no use wallowing in misery. "When we were younger, before Fiona became as brilliant as she is now our power got shut off a lot." He explained as he broke the potato in half with the stick and handed half to Blaine.

"I have a tent too," he said. "It's small and will only really fit one person comfortably, but we've shared a sleeping bag before, right?" he suggested. "We'd have to find a good place to use it first..." He looked down towards the ground, frowning just a bit."

"Yeah, don't want to take chances with those vines. The jungle must end somewhere..." Hopefully. Maybe not, who knew.

He handed it over with more than half of it left and then looked around as he cleaned his fingers with his mouth and shirt. "I wonder if we can get higher and take a look?"
no subject
"I'm sure we can, the branches should hold our weight for a bit higher yet."

"Ready?"

He pushed up, moving carefully to get a better footing to climb up.

"You'll get better with practice." He told him, beginning to climb behind him, "In my family you learn to survive quick and stuff like climbing and running is useful." Amazing how police wouldn't bother bolting over walls after you for the sake of stolen milk or cheese.

He was careful not to make that sound too flirtatious, especially since he knew it was possible that people were watching. He adopted that platonic tone he used when he complimented Tina or one of his other friends from home.

"High enough? Or shall we go up a bit more?"

Good end?
Yes! <3
