Not Quite The Princess You Were Expecting [OPEN]
WHO | Snow White & Ruby | Snow White + YOU!?
WHAT | Fresh meat?!
WHERE | The Cornucopia and probably Fantasyland eventually?
WHEN | Snow's Arrival - Week 6
WARNINGS | Nothing to speak of yet
Snow White looks the part of a storybook princess, head to toe. The dress and the cape they've put her in do not strike her as something out of the ordinary, but the machines that lifted her here and the strangely destroyed looking future certainly do.
For now, the only plan she has is to get somewhere out of sight. Somewhere less exposed. Safer. If anything, all she really wants is a quiet minute to herself to just collect her thoughts. To try and make any of this make any sense in her head. So the moment she feels it safe to take her first step out into this strange new place, she starts to run at as quick a pace as she dare. She's defenseless here and she knows it. Lost in a completely unknown territory with only the vaguest understanding of what is going on, she heads for the thing that looks the most familiar.
The castle.

Was this not the land without magic the curse had brought her to? Up until now, that had been her assumption. But with pink castles and Stephanie talking about magic kingdoms, she'd starting to question that assumption.
Why did every moment she spend here seem to only raise more questions rather than answer them?
"I've not seen much of this kingdom yet, have you noticed if there is any game to be hunted?" she asks and then decided she should perhaps specify. "I haven't exactly eaten since I arrived."
She may be fresh to the arena, but she's not eaten since her arrival, and she's definitely starting to notice. Snow can hunt well enough with simple traps. She's had to before. She can certainly do it again. And with some branches and her bootlaces, she can set up a proper snare. If Stephanie can point her in a good direction, she'll be happy to share.
Snow's just worried Stephanie is going to have bad news for her. Tell her the good hunting area is guarded by ogres or that everything here is poisoned. Everything else so far gone that way. Why stop now?

Steph hesitated a moment before mentally kicking herself to simply tell Snow what was up. "Not sure about hunting animals and you're not going to find much food around here. Um, this isn't a real kingdom or anything. It's an Arena where people are brought in to kill each other." She shrugged as though the idea of hunting other people was so easily explained. There were a lot of questions Stephanie still had even though Tim had filled her in on what he could.
"I haven't explored the whole place; when people are willing to kill you as soon as look at you you stay where things are familiar."

Not at all.
But in the end, she isn't sure that matters yet, anyway. The rules here are still going to be the same, she thinks. Doesn't quite matter what you call it. A cursed land is still a cursed land.
"Except... none of this is familiar," she gestures around them with a bit of a shrug. At least to Snow, none of it was. Even the places she had been hiding out in and exploring for days were still strange to her. Their locations may now be better mapped in her head and the landmarks more familiar, but she still was not certain what all these strange structures were or may once have been.

Stephanie adjusted her pack and drew a basic map in the dirt on the ground with the tip of her bow. YOU ARE HERE was written next to two female stick figures. "This is Fantasyland. It was all about princesses and fairy tales way back when. This is a river full of killer piranhas. Over here is wild west world, you know, cowboys and stuff. Main Street. I haven't explored the north or the east areas."
apologies for the lateness of this! D:
"How long have you been here?" Snow wonders. Clearly, long enough to get a better feel for the land than she has.
UNACCEPTABLE!
"Look, this hasn't been proven without a doubt to me, but I've been told that death here isn't like permanent death all the time. That doesn't mean you should let yourself be killed, but, I don't know, it's a little bit of light, right?"
