Offing One's Self Creatively [OPEN]
WHO | Riddick and OPEN
WHAT | Somebody's gotten bored and is getting out of here
WHEN | Some evening, week four
WHERE | The glacier edge
WARNINGS / NOTES | Riddick is likely to cuss a lot
Between the unchanging landscape, the unpleasant weather, the dearth of people about Riddick actually wants to talk to, and the lack of a sponsor with food today, Riddick is done with the arena at last. He's perched on the edge of the glacier, looking out over the freezing water, contemplating just how much force he'd need pushing off to clear the rocks and reach the water. Freezing combined with drowning seems like a more pleasant way to go than smashing one's self on jagged, icy rocks and then drowning.
Besides, he's curious how far they'll let him swim, and it'll be fun to see how long he lasts before the cold gets to him.
His much-abused rope sits coiled on the ice behind him, his coat is sitting folded beside it, and the saved cans he's been collecting are stacked almost as neatly atop it. All of which might be useful to someone else who actually wants to kill people in this thing, unlike himself. He's sitting there, in the cold, considering his jump for plenty of time for anyone nearby to decide to have a chat.
Or an attempt to off him before he does it himself. Whatever.

Wesker's opinion of the man had, to this point, been hazy and undecided. But now...
Pathetic.

Riddick looked over his shoulder at Wesker, taking in mostly the shape rather than the person. "Can I help you with somethin'?" he called, sounding somewhere between bored and amused. "Or you just admirin' the view?"
no subject
"Oh, don't mind me," he replied dryly. "I'm just here to watch the show."

"Then you'd at least be guaranteed some sort of satisfaction."

All these people here... Wesker couldn't believe the collective sense of stupidity. The way they all just rolled over. They way they allowed themselves to be controlled.
"Or perhaps something else as suitably pointless?"
no subject
"Nah," he finally decided. "Those're all too boring. Jumping into freezing ocean water and seeing how far I make it way more interesting. This is cuz I'm bored, after all, so gotta make it at least a little challengin'."
