Mini Arena 3
The kids are picked up from the daycare bright and early, but by the Capitol instead of their parents. It's just like old times in the arenas, with only children to contend.
25 - 24 - 23
Stylists are starting to get used to the mini-arenas, though it doesn't mean they've been allowed to dress tributes in whatever they want. All the tributes will be dressed as proxy copy of a respective video game character. All tributes are reminded about the ticket rules for this round.
20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16
The platforms lift them up, and there is no cornucopia to be seen. The only way tributes will be able to help and protect themselves is if they go out of their way to harm another tribute and get the tickets, which will be tallied by their watches. The lights of the games flicker and glow within the dark. Classic video game fight tunes play overhead. Before them lay a great and stretching obstacle course, filled with animatronic enemies and various other hazards.
11- 10 - 9 - 8
They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. That's all this is about, a good show. None of them have been told that there can be multiple winners this time around.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. The games have begun.
[OOC: Remember, this is forwardated by a week.]

She's not sure if that's how a shootout is really supposed to work, but at least she's giving the other girl a fighting chance. It feels better than some of the other things she's done in the Arena so far...

"Stop trying to make it sound like it's all fun and games."
Then without warning her arm came up and she fired a stream of paint for the girls eyes, hoping to blind her while she grabbed desperately for another gun. Maybe she'd catch the girl off guard...
...or maybe her rotten luck would hold out and she'd die in a ridiculous shoot out with a total strange using water guns.

"Well, it is a game!" She calls over as she aims and pulls the trigger, "But I guess it is only fun if you win! Which is what I want to do!"

Her face red and tears pouring from her eyes she lowered the arm and opened fire with the second gun she'd picked up. A glob of green slime flew from the tip with surprising force. The same slime that had been falling from the ceiling in the last room. Out of anger and for good measure Sandy threw the pain filled pistol at Feferi's head as well and instantly let out another shout of pain as any motion with the still smoldering arm was excruciating.

Her first instinct is to go for one of the other guns nearby, and she tests it on the floor-- water, thankfully. She rinses off her hand, and the water feels no better as she does so, but she grits her teeth through it. Once she's gotten most of the acid off, she surveys her hand, but the damage has been done. Not as bad as it could have been, but still painful and stinging, even with the acid rinsed away.
She looks up long enough to see her opponent in pain, and her heart sinks. It was one thing when she didn't actually have to see the pain she'd caused-- hadn't it always been that way? she'd doomed thousands of trolls to death feeding her lusus and hadn't thought twice about doing it for the greater good-- but now seeing the damage she's wrought against someone who doesn't even want to fight her is more than she can take.
This wasn't a fair fight. It would never have been fair, no matter what she did, because she was facing someone who had no interest in fighting back. She kneels down and slides the gun across the floor to the other girl.
"Take it, it's safe." She holds up her hand as proof, as terrible as it looks with pinkish fluid leaking out of the open sores. "Just... get out of here, before someone else comes, okay? I cannot promise that I would not accidentally hit you if I was aiming for someone else."
It sounds like more of a threat than she actually means it to be, but really, her first shot was just lucky.

Slowly, wincing Sandy lowered her trembling arm with tears in her eyes from the pain. She blinked them away with a stoney expression and knelt down to take the gun and squirt her wounds washing the sizzling burn clean.
"This may be a game to them, but it's more then that. You can be better then who they think you are."
Satisfied with the numbness that was settling over her blisters she dropped the gun and scurried off towards the go-karts. The final stretch was just ahead and she still wasn't dead.
How much longer could her luck hold out?

She shakes it off and makes sure the other is able to retreat before she starts poking around the guns, looking for the more deadly ones. There are still plenty of tributes coming down the course, and she's not ready to give up. She steels herself and turns her back towards the go-karts to wait for another opponent to show up.
