EVENT
It is early morning, when all the animals suddenly go silent. The day before, those paying close attention might have noticed some restless behavior, but who wouldn't be restless trapped in the arena.
The eerie silence only last a moment of two before suddenly there is a deep growl, an awful sound of rupturing, and then the whole world is shaking.
Part of the old building, the part closest to the ocean, sways precariously, holding on for one moment, before it, and a large section of the cliffs crashed into the ocean.
They send a wave surging out, away from the land. However, when it hits the invisible edge of the arena, although a large amount of the force presses right through, there is still enough caught with in the force field to bounce back, sending a sizable wave that manged to crest over the top of the cliffs, washing away anything too close to shore.
The force field manages to hold, clearly better built than what would normally surround an arena.
When everything settles, half of the building now sits in the ocean. One the west side, many of the halls and rooms are now open to the air. The path to the ocean is gone, and several older, weaker trees have collapsed to the ground as well.
In the Capitol, the electricity stutters, before going out. It is restored quickly in many places, but some are without electricity for up to 45 minutes.
OOC| Death roll will be posted shortly, so feel free to use this as inspiration to your plotting there. Feel free to ask any questions here, but please use that post for OOC plotting.

When it's still, he's nearly to his feet before the roar of water. He shouts in fear as he sees trees sway and fall, but the water doesn't reach him, the forest where he is is still, still and safe.

The scientist sits with his back against it, folding his arms over his head protectively. As the shaking fades, he begins to unfurl, only to freeze as he hears the crash of the ocean. Close, but it doesn't reach him. A near miss.

Why was this creature, this grue, asking him if he was hurt? In the middle of a death match? Why did he seem concerned?
"...No." He says carefully, after a few more moments. The scientist uses the piece of re-bar he'd dropped to help himself to his feet again. Wherever his skin is exposed, there's red rashes visible. He looks feverish.

Some.
"Quite." He confirms, taking a few steps towards the grue before stopping, unsure. Perhaps it would be best to let it approach him. He presses the back of his arm to his mouth as he fights down another wave of intense nausea, swallowing hard. As if there's even anything in his stomach to bring up.

It's all Grey says before a second hand grips the piece of re-bar and he swings it with all the strength left to him for the side of Some's head.

"No!"

His second swing is for Some's good foreleg, right at the knee.

His cannon sounded a moment later.

Unsteady, he places the end of the bloodied re-bar against the ground and leans against it, coughing as he tries to catch his breath. He's beginning to retch as the hovercraft appears overhead to collect Some's body, and he stumbles out of the way, dry heaving beside a tree before collapsing against it.
As the hovercraft departs with broken body, he rests his head back against the tree and grins.
