But Mindy had made sure to stockpile BEFORE she smuggled the younger girl up here. They hit the Sports Authority first, where Mindy had grabbed the water bottles and a few choice knives, not to mention a new change of clothes. Now in a tank top, cammo pants and boots, Mindy stored what items were needed in her locker and then the two went searching. Mindy was all ready to set up shop in the theater when LO ANS BEHOLD there was a comic shop! Mindy dragged Chibi Usa here, barricading the door but leaving just enough room for someone smaller to squeeze right through.

"Here," she said, giving Usagi some of the spoils from the food court, "I got this so far. Eat only a little, though I think you'll be getting some food from sponsors pretty soon."

Mindy leaned against the door, panting. The work of moving around and rustling up supplies had been draining, and she was still feeling the pain of the brand, not to mention her bones.

"You nab anything, Usagi?"

"Probably," Don replied, rubbing his head. "It actually looked very recent - the brand was still bleeding, and her hand was broken."

"Christ, her hand," Mindy muttered, shaking her head. "Motherfuckers. I got my brand a few days ago, and they bandaged it so it at least healed over. Still hurts though. Thank God for Usagi. She bandaged up what they left exposed."

"Good," Don said quietly. "I need to find Shepard again, to check on her injuries, at some point. She can take care of herself, but..."

"You do that, but be careful," Mindy warned. "You never know what the hell you'll find, or who. They haven't done too much to mess with us yet, so some of the more dangerous people might start to get bored, if you get my drift. Shepard might eb able to handle herself, but seeing you, they might try to pick you off quick."

"No worries," Don reassured her with a smile. "I'll get back. I've got a key to the lockers, and that's a start."

[hit_girl_mindy]

"All right," Mindy said, and really, that was all she could do for now. She had her own agenda. "Just watch yourself. Trust no one unless you know them well."

Don had no clue, of course, as to Mindy's agenda. He just nodded.

"All right. I'll stay here tonight, and meet you back here tomorrow night when I go out."

Mindy smiled, and hit Donatello lightly on the shoulder.

"You're a good guy, Don. I hope you can keep that and actually win one day."
