Mini Arena 2
Tributes are woken early, and the hovercraft ride is a long one. Not the longest some have experienced, but they are clearly going far.
25 - 24 - 23
They land on the deck of the boat, and are ushered underneath, to the lower levels, quickly. Their stylists go from cabin to cabin, decking them out in over the top finery, before loading them into the pods installed into the corners of the rooms.
20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16
The platforms lift them up, and they are all ringed around a grand buffet table, loaded with a grand feast looking ready to sag down from the weight. Among the food are supplies, plenty of them, all for the taking.
11- 10 - 9 - 8
They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. That's all this is about, a good show. None of them have been told that there can be multiple winners this time around.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. The games have begun.

"Thor almighty that was close!" She cackled in an unstable way. She stumbled to her feet and grinned crookedly.
"Can you imagine if I made friends with that thing? I'd win this arena no problem! It could probably even tell the other sharks not to eat me."

That water is still steadily rising by the way, a thin layer of it coating the corner of the stairwell they're on. In response Clem cautiously moves up to the next dry step.
"Are you actually crazy?"

Fixing her gaze on Clementine she offered a crooked grin "What's life without a little risk?"

She's not sure why she's even trying to help the older girl, she should be focused on her own survival instead of lingering here. Clem would feel bad though if she didn't at least try.

"Well fine if you want me to run you stay here and keep it entertained." She demanded and made a grab for Clementine's shirt.

Stunned by the pain in her chin she started to fall down the stairs backwards. "Geeze kid you are taking this way too seriously it's not like we really die."
The lanky Viking girl tried to push herself back up rubbing her chin, only to have the Shark she'd just fed burst from the water behind her and bite down onto her midsection. "ACK!" She let out a yelp sounding more startled then in pain as the shock washed over her preventing her from feeling the teeth slicing into her spine.

Despite the fact she'd just been threatened and the fact Clementine had been prepared to defend herself with a knife she still tries to lung down and grab Ruffnut where she's falling.
Too late though, as a second late Clementine is scrambling back, a scream lodged in her throat, eyes impossibly huge in her face as she witnesses the shark sink its jaws into the other girl.
She can't do anything, only watch Ruffnut's demise in front of her.

The screams were silenced leaving only the sound of churning water which was quickly turning dark with blood as the body and Shark vanished beneath the surface.

She'd... she'd tried, she'd tried to warn her. ..
Fear suddenly knocks her body into action, with a single regretful glance back Clementine turned and hurled herself up the stairs, not about to stop for anything else until she reached the deck above.
