Let's all haze the newbie.
Who: Ruffnut and you!
What: Viking girl is having a hard time adjusting to the arena.
When: Week 2
Where: near the end of main street.
Notes: None yet but give it some time, I'm sure some monsters will show up or something.
Sometimes, it was the little things that got you through the night.
It had been a long week without proper food, a proper bed or a proper argument with her brother. Ruffnut found she kept turning to say something to him only to remember he wasn't there. And for the first time in a long time she had the strangest feeling in her guts.
Could she actually be missing him?
No of course not! That was stupid!
And so as the morning mist settled over the street, the eerie silence would be broken by the sound of metal on metal clanging together in an irritating fashion that was sure to draw someone (Or something's attention.)
The source of that noise was Ruffnut, sitting on the front stoop of one of the abandoned houses as she tried to pound a hole in the side of an old rusty pot.
CLANG CLANK CLONK!
Her mouth twisted into a crooked look of satisfaction as the nail she'd been hitting with a hung of broken brick pierced the worn and rusty metal. Turning the pot around she resumed her work on the other side.
Next to her say an over sized serving fork and a bent piece of pipe. Whatever purpose they served in the project would become apparent in time.
Because sometimes when nothing in the world made sense anymore you grasped for the familiar. And so in desperation she sought to at least replace a lost item that would make her feel a little less off balance.
Ruffnut was making herself a helmet.

For now she would just enjoy all this one on one time. "What sort of wonders?" She asked with a hint of suspicion in her voice. Already her mind was whirling with possibilities.

"The beauty of the night sky, the importance of intelligence and deep thinking and the strength and honor of mortals." He smiles. "Before I met her, I had not held much interest in Earth, but in my travels I've met many a mortal more deserving of my respect and recognition than I ever thought possible."

Still the more she could learn the better. "She's pretty strong too? So would it be better if she was here fighting with us?" Because if this girl was so beautiful AND a warrior that might be a problem. The rusted gears in Ruffnut's head were trying to turn so she could plot a way to win over this hunk of man meat...or at least so she could continue to objectify him.

"I think not." He admits with a shake of his head. "If they were to bring her here, I could not keep my temper." And in a place like that, this is not a good idea. "If I had it my way, I'd not see you here either." He says plainly. "You deserve a peaceful life away from such torment."
no subject
"Peaceful?" She snorts giving him a incredulous look. "Where's the fun in that? I'm a viking not some sheep or yak! I want adventure and stuff to blow up! I wanna ride my dragon and set things on fire." She declared loud enough for her voice to echo in the chilled air.
no subject
"Perhaps so. But you deserve to do so in your own lands, amongst your own people. Not amongst the vile and underhanded controllers of this place." He hopes he gets his point across with that. "Do you travel alone? Perhaps you should accompany me."
no subject
"Yeah!" She plunked the makeshift helmet on her head as the fog rolled in. "Where we going?"

"Hunting beasts with Thor." She chuckled thuggishly. "My brother is gonna be SO jealous."
