I'm not here for your entertainment, you don't wanna mess with me tonight.
Who: Harley, Detta and victims
What: Girls gone wild, Harley has set free Susannah's wild, violent and offensive side and they are mugging and murdering their way through.
Where: The Maze, wherever, whenever. There is no escape. There is no where to hide. They will find you.
When: After the Arena began but before it ends.
Notes: Detta is...offensive in almost every sense of the word. Also violence.
Harley was a doormat.
Most the people in The Capitol might not have realized it, but her best friend Ivy had once said if she had a middle name? It would be "Welcome."
Harley had self diagnosed herself long ago as having an extreme need for acceptance and affection. She drank up praise like sweet nectar and wrapped herself up in compliments like a fuzzy warm blanket on a cold wet Monday morning. So it made sense that she wanted so badly for the citizens of the Capitol, and of District Nine to like her.
That's why she tried so hard to win over even the least affectionate of mentors Eva.
And that's why she had to win this arena. Sure the circumstances were a little different then the usual arenas, but she'd seen first hand that it was no less dangerous. Elsa's blood was still dried into her boots.
Glancing over her shoulder to confirm Detta wasn't about to run her through with a spear Harley flashed a delighted grin. Despite the dark situation she still had found a way to have some fun. Susannah probably wouldn't be speaking to her anytime soon...but at least Detta seemed to like her for the time being.
Now they just needed to find some victims to keep Detta, and the bloodthirsty masses at home happy.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out Harley began to slither and slink her way around the vines and thorns as best she could.
"With my luck these things are poisoned and one little scratch is all I'll need to disappoint my adoring fans." She muttered, thankful for her flexibility.
All the green and the talk of poison of course set her mind to Ivy, as her mind had been going back to Ivy more and more.
"Hey Red...if you're out there I could really use some of your floral friendship." She sighed and had to arch her back to avoid another particularly insistent vine.
"I meant what I said back in the garden. And if you're still a part of this world, or maybe if these plants can get you the message through time and space. Just know that I'm never gonna forgive myself for what I did to ya."
A figure was lurking just ahead. She moved faster imagining it to be her long lost friend.
"I'm gonna win this Ivy, and eventually I'm gonna get back to you and set things right. I don't care if it takes me all of my life, or if I gotta burn down the world to get there."

She gooses Harley in hopes that will distract her companion enough that Harley gets stuck by one of the thorns. That was her idea of entertainment.

There's no way to know whether or not it's someone he can trust. In the arena, he tends to assume not. It's also too late to avoid being seen... so he hefts his spear in hand and prepares for a potential confrontation. This arena has its differences, though, and he's not going to hold back this time. If anything, he'd be doing someone a favor by giving them a swift end. "So be it..." he mumbles to himself.

"No fire." She answered apologetically as she rubbed the blood from her cheek. "And besides, I like plants. They remind me of someone. And she's green so don't get your black panther panties in a bunch. I'm sure we'll find some other cracker for you to play with."
She had been mostly cheerful and playful with Detta but the vines and thorns had put her in a nostalgic place full of conflicted feelings she had to sort through.
Coming around the corner she lay her eyes on their next potential victim. "Hey look out behind you!" She screamed dramatically pointing just over his shoulder and up a bit putting on a face of horror and shock.
Would he fall for it?

Already in a defensive stance from the start, Kain readies himself to face what they might be throwing his way.

In Harley's case she's hurled an apple at his head with surprising accuracy and is rushing up behind it to lash out at his stomach with a kick hoping to wind him.
Of course the thrust of this attack relies on Detta backing her up. But Harley had faith the sociopath she'd unleashed would be more then happy to indulge.

"Pathetic tactics to resort to..."
He immediately goes for a counterattack, taking a wide sweep at the two of them with his own spear, darting back to try and use the large thorns as a barrier. There's a sharp stab of pain from his shoulder, and then another when he puts too much weight on his foot. Any balance problem like this isn't good at all. He knows he's going to have to end this, bring one of them down to at least even things out... or else this could be it for him.

"Hey we may fight dirty, but nobody can call us pathetic!" She shouted back as she splits from Detta to circle around the long side of the thorns while Detta with her weapon can take the more direct approach.

That he's drawn some blood is at least a good sign, but it's only a start. At least he's ready this time, moving back and bringing his spear into a position to block the incoming one. Kain grimaces at the effort of moving his shoulder as he again swings to counter...
He uses his momentum to lash out toward Harley after, but with so many overgrown plants in the way, his reach is hindered.

"Come on Detta girl you can do better then that. This guy is such a puppet he's practically got a hand sticking out of his pants."
It was starting to come back to her now, she had been studying the tapes and this one had caught her eye. He'd had some interesting conversations that gave her some ideas about how to get to him.
"I can see it in his eyes, he probably doesn't even know how much he's been changed in the last few months."

"How dare you claim those things... it's can't be true. I'm in control of my mind!"
Except now he's not so sure, which just makes his mental state even worse. He's always been afraid that something like this might happen...
He lashes out again, toward Detta this time, who seems to be the target more in reach. Ignoring the throbbing pain, he thrusts and jabs repeatedly toward her. He's much less focused than before as driven by emotion as he is.

"It'll make you more compliant if you think it's your own idea after all! I've seen them turn perfectly respectable, educated, polite young men into homicidal sociopaths just for the thrill of watching them kill a child and then realize the horror of what they've done."
"What makes you any different?"
no subject
"Dat's right," she says. "Soon you'll be just like us!"
She cackles again, like a proper witch (which indeed she is, even lacking magic.)
no subject
"And if I refuse? Some people must have managed to fight off their power. What makes me different, surely... is how much stronger I am."
Except he doesn't feel too strong right now, not when he's thinking about how much easier it would be to let go and allow the darkness free reign.
no subject
"Besides don't you know how brains work? You can't fight your own brain. They can force your headmeat to release all sorts of chemicals to change your emotions or make you into something different. Something horrible."
Leaning down where he could see her (But not close enough to be struck she winked)
The only real way to fight back is to die again and again before they have a chance to change you. The only way to win the game is not to play, ya get what I mean?"

He's lowered his defenses a little too much though, so he's wide open and takes a hit from Detta's next surge forward. He moves to counter, but this time it's a much weaker attempt.

"I've seen them take the most mild mannered, bland and boring guys into cold blooded killers who would run a young boy through on a sword." She explained so matter of factly. "And when the guy came to his senses and realized what he'd done? He killed himself."
The last part was a mild exaggeration but she suspected Kain was in no place to try and pick through her lies.
