WEAPONS ROLL RUN

"The museum will be closing in half an hour. At that time, something very special will be distributed to the Tributes brave enough to risk their peers at the first floor elevators."

The storm is still raging outside, casting everything on the first floor in a dim light occasionally shattered by flashes of lightning. The thunder rolling in the background seems to set the tone, although some may find it a welcome distraction from silence.

Half an hour passes. Five minutes before it's done, the elevators cease functioning, leaving Tributes to use the stairwells.

Each elevator door opens to reveal a handful of weapons: firecrackers, revolvers, grenades. There are no threats to the Tributes who try to retrieve them - none but their fellow competitors.

Very much so, yes. She has people to look out for, and even though she already has the clawgloves she's made herself anything else she can get her hands is only going make it that much easier in the long run. Of course, that does mean she has to get out of this fight first, but she's not going down so easily, and she can take comfort in the fact that she isn't the only one injured at this point.

All the same, she isn't expecting to be tackled, and she's caught just enough off-guard to go down hard. Which she doesn't seem to be particularly happy about, given the hiss Mindy earns in return. But it's going to be a moment before Nepeta manages to actually offer any sort of violence in return. Enough to at least get in one good hit, if nothing else.

Mindy is not about to let go of her opportunity either. She's still swinging, and now her feet is attempting to connect hard with the cat...person's gut. There were already people scrambling for weapons, and if she didn't hurry she wouldn't get shit. Mindy growled, going for a pin if she could get it. What she lacked in weight she more than made up in speed and strength.

With her breath all but knocked out of her, Nepeta offers no resistance to either the kick or the attempt to pin her. She's still hissing and spitting to the best of her ability to do so, but that's not really going to anything to get her out of the situation, much less any less injured.

But the look in her eyes is very much one of fury, and if she's given a chance to get back on her feet, she will absolutely take the chance and run with it.

Oh, Mindy is just giving you a hell of a hard punch. Injury on top of injury pissed her off, and now that she was scratched up, it made that all that much harder to grab-

A WEAPON! Mindy swore loudly, scrambling up to try and at least grab something! A little too late though.

There's a brief pause to catch her breath, and then Nepeta is climbing to her feet as well. She may be scratched up and bruised (that punch did her no favors and she can't really tell the extent of the damage it's done) but she is certainly not going to let Mindy get away without at least attempting to get in a parting shot.

Of course, with her only weapons being short-range it rather depends on how quickly Mindy can either get out of range or lose herself in the crowd, but if she can't in time, Nepeta has every intention of offering up at least a new set of scratches to go with the previous ones.

Mindy is a bit of a scrambler but just misses being completely unscathed. Her back gets a bit of the claw treatment and she swears, giving a kick where she could, but by then it was too late.

"Fucking balls," she muttered, glaring darkly at Nepta's direction.

Nepeta has absolutely no regrets about her actions. She might be a lot more friendly than the average for trolls, but that doesn't mean she isn't going to do her best when it comes to having to fight. Still, she makes no further effort to follow Mindy. Assuming there even is anything left to take (and she rather doubts it) she's going to need to not be in the middle of a fight if she wants anything even remotely like a chance to get her hands on one.

She does, however, manage to make her displeasure pretty clear in return, even if she doesn't say anything.
