the sand worm least expected.

The rumbling haven't stopped.
And during a day cycle, their source burst free from the ground.
In the desert arena they are dark brown, leathery. In the candy arena, red and white striped. In both arenas they are horrifically ugly.
Humans seem less relevant to them the bigger prey, but they are all stirred up for hunting, and hey, if a tasty human is near, they will happily got to snap them up. And if they get in between (or under) the worms and a nice fat elk, or doki doki, well, sucks to be them.
There are between three to five in each arena...they're so long, so large, it's hard to tell. They move faster under ground, slower above ground, but they can propel themselves high into the air. They can't however, burrow through hard things. Luckily, both arenas have hard rock (and hard rock candy) veins throughout the ground, leading to their mutual centerpieces: the mountain and the castle.
The castle is solid, and holed through with caves. The mountain is the same. And if you go deep enough into either, you find bars...with the other arena on the other side. But if you stay for more then a few minutes, then be prepared to meet with something driving you away: The cave feeling with water, a toxic gas starting to seep out and drive you away, or some lovely little cave creature snapping you away.
There are also only so many caves, so you're going to see some familiar, if not necessarily friendly faces.
The worm are active for about 4 day/night cycles (So between 20-24 hours), with varying activity within that time period. Once they leave, all the tremors stop.
