WHO| Emily and Derek
WHAT| Arena stuff
WHEN| Second or third day...whatever it's supposed to be (confusing timeline is confusing)
WHERE| S20
WARNINGS| Probably not? No promises.
"Did you ever see that move, Never Cry Wolf?" Emily asked, sighing, turning her head against the brick wall from where she had been watching the death toll on the horizon to look at Morgan. The wolf calls that permeated the night silence had increased in frequency and volume the farther from the Cornucopia they'd traveled. They'd traveled along a chain link fence since they'd left the amusement park - she wasn't sure if it was the actual border of the Arena or not, but she didn't want to chance it since it was probably electrified or set you on fire or something.

"It's based on a book...the guy that wrote it, for some reason, decides to live with this pack of wolves. And he decides to keep the wolves away from his camp by peeing all around it, just like the wolves do."

"Did it work?" he asked, taking a sip of water from the bottle they shared. "Peeing around his camp helped keep the wolves away?"

She ducked out of the way, just in case he sent a playful blow her way.

Finally, he sighed and tapped her shoulder. She pushed his hand away and went back to sleep. He tapped at her shoulder again, hard this time, determined to wake her up. "Nap time's over," he said quietly when she slowly and begrudging opened her eyes.

He watched her roll over and tried to go back to sleep. He knew there was no way she would get up and let him rest if he didn't threaten her somehow.
"If you won't get up, I'm getting my new furry friend to come in so I can rest while he keep watch..."
