Cornucopia: The Sequel
WHO| Everyone going back to the Cornucopia
WHAT| Picking on the leftovers. Who lives? Who dies? Who looks exceptionally smashing in their Tribute unforms?
WHEN| Two days in
WHERE| The Cornucopia.
WARNING/NOTES| Violence! Possible salty language!
Max made slow headway toward the Cornucopia. Even while her genetic enhancements were being suppressed, she still had sharp eyes and could move with great stealth. Pausing, she half turns while keeping her eyes on the area to murmur to the others with her.
"Lottie, you and Tony think you can manage to collect some things? Don and I will keep an eye on you both."
She sees a spot that looks like it might be clear for a snatch and grab and gestures that she intends to move forward unless her team tries to stop her.

"Who said anything about killing anyone?"
He threw a punch at Eliot's chest with his other arm.

He kicked, aiming for the other fighter's knee cap.

Don jumped up, dodging the kick and taking a flip backwards. When he lands, he gets into a fighting position.
"I can't let you do what you're doing."

He charges the giant turtle, intending for his smaller size to catch the other below his center of gravity. "And I gotta do it if I want any of us to make it outa here."
It really was as simple as that. He needed those land mines. He could only fight off so many people at once.

Especially considering this guy hit like a train, nearly knocking the breath out of him.
"Ngh!"
Even as he was being brought to the ground shell down, Don's mind was analyzing the guy on him. It was pretty clear this guy had training. Military? Maybe, if the precision hit to his torso was any indication. On the other hand...it was also giving him momentum to try and toss the guy of him with a roll and a kick.

Those legs wrapped around him, but Don wasn't one to just stop fighting. Instead, he grabbed one of the snapped bo pieces
maybe it did that for a reason...and went to thrust it as hard as he could into on of the invading legs.no subject

Putting his strength together, Don did the most logical thing that cam to mind; he grabbed the guy's legs and went to roll over. He'd let human anatomy and gravity do the rest.

[OOC: Only problem is, being rescued from a strangling isn't a mortal wound. The idea I think was to rescue him but then be forced to leave him behind - sad panda. :(]

He rolls to his feet, eyeing his opponent closely. Turtle-guy had grabbed his abandoned table leg. He brought his fists up as he blitzed toward him, determined to keep him distracted from the girl as long as he could.

At least he wouldn't have to deal with the belt anymore. Quickly Don also leaps forward, using the broken leg and his forearms to block any punches thrown at him. Once the barrage of punches were done, he pulls his own.

just about time for Max to jump in
Re: just about time for Max to jump in
With a burst of speed, she darts forward and makes to grab the wrist of the hand upraised and holding the makeshift dagger, in the hope of being able to give it a twist brutal enough to force him to drop the weapon.
