Who: Callista and OPEN
What: Callista in the Star Tours ride.
When: First Night Fall to the rest of the week.
Where: Tomorrowland, the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue ride.
Notes: FYI, outside of the line for this ride is a building that has paintings of different Star Wars planets, Callista is going to break into that one first and then get into the ride itself. She'll be hanging out in the line part, hidden behind the ship. (Clearly this picture is too shiny for the Arena, so just picture it all broken down and stuff). This is where she will be holding up. Feel free to say your character finds her. Open to attacks, fighting for food, alliance building, general CR.
Callista had gone to Tomorrowland first. She had seen the trees with fruits on them and picked some. She was now carrying them in her cape as she moved to one of the buildings. The doors were boarded up but she was able to break into it by being a little more creative.
The skills she were using were the ones that would make her Master roll his eyes, but she needed to do what she could. Once in there was some sunlight that filtered in through holes in the walls and ceiling. One the walls was a mural that made her feel like her breath had been knocked out of her lungs.
It couldn't be... Coruscant. Rather than marvel too much at it she forced herself deeper through the line path to get into the main part of the ride. Luckily for her the 3PO had long ago been removed. Seeing a replica of a droid she knew personally would probably have been too much. As it was the R2 on the top of the faded red ship in the ride was nothing more than a white ball.
The ship itself distracted her for a moment, as she thought she might be able to use it, but she couldn't. It didn't even open. Instead he wedged her long body between the ship and the wall of the ride. It was filthy there and she was able to use some of the debris that had fallen to cover up her little hiding place.
It would be an okay place to sleep. Not the most comfortable but at least something. She used this spot to check out the fruit she had picked to make sure it was edible and then listened to the world around her, expecting that other Tributes would soon be around her. She still couldn't fight to the death, but she didn't want to die again either.
Once she had a better idea of what she was doing, she'd come out again to look for signs of life. It was later in the night, when things were so dark that she couldn't see around herself, that she did just that.
It was freezing, and moving seemed better than becoming one solid block of ice.

You know what outer space needs? MOAR COWBOYS.
So far, he liked the frontier place best, as wrong as it was, and the little square not far from it, with its stately old mansions. Those at least were familiar to him.
Not like some of the other places. Not like this one. With its strange design and odd colors, it felt too much like the Capitol for him to be comfortable.
He passed through the area as quickly as his search would allow, one hand on his knife, intent on getting out as soon as he could manage... until he reached the open building with the strange pictures. That one gave him pause. His desire to leave warring with his need to be thorough.
(OOC: I figure this a day after Wyatt's thread with Howard, maybe more. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.)
Always.
"Can I help you?" she asked, intentionally making her voice a little teasing, as she tried to put this man at ease. She knew talking to someone might get her killed, but hiding made her feel weak.
Slowly, she stood out from around to the open, holding out her hands a bit to show that she didn't have a weapon.

Five arenas in, he'd learned well enough by now that just 'cause a tribute was a woman didn't mean he could let his guard down.
"Just passin' through, Ma'am," he replied, eyes on her face - and minding her hands just out of the corners. "Lookin' for supplies."

"I'm Callista," She offered after the advise. "I'm afraid I don't have much to offer, but that doesn't mean I'm against the idea of sharing."

It was technically the truth, and so he didn't feel bad for saying it. Other than the knife, he'd left his Corncuopia spoils with Howard just in case something happened to him while he was scouting.
Better the boy have 'em, and use 'em to get out for good, rathan than someone like Grey or Aunamee.
"But maybe I could help ya out with those trees? We can share the spoils between us after."

Wyatt Earp meant what he said.
Though he didn't put it away. He merely tucked in against his palm instead as he hooked his thumb into his belt.
"Anythin' in particular I should be keepin' an eye out for?" he asked as he watched her look this way and that, scanning their surroundings, wonderin' if someone specific had taken up residence here, or if maybe the Capitol had set up a nasty surprise that she'd already encountered.

She often felt that way about Chad. She'd crave her water world's oceans and sea ranches, but to miss an entire universe? It was confusing in a way that made he want to meditate.
"What have you come across?" she asked instead of clarifying though, wanting to change the subject.

To each their own.
Which, speakin' of....
"There's a place on the other side, that reminds me of my home. I mean, it's not quite right exactly, but it is familiar." His head tipped; a sudden though coming to him. "Maybe they did it on purpose. The Capitol, makin' little areas for each of us."

"I'm not sure what ya mean by that - 'system?'" He looked at her curiously. "Ya mean planet?"
Once upon time, that in and of itself would have knocked him back - that somebody would even have reason to ask such thing - but now, five arenas in, that wasn't even the strangest thing he'd come across anymore.

"Of a sorts anyway," he replied with a small sigh. "I'm from before all'a this." He waved a hand idly, meaning not just the arena, but the Capitol itself. "Back when this was all still the United States."
Before the Capitol had risen to power, before they'd started slaughtering children for sport.

"Was also called America, if that makes any sort of difference to ya," he chuckled. "And we also had Britain, France, Italy..." He shot her a playful sidelong look. "I'd hate for ya think we couldn't be an imaginative lot when we put our minds to it."

"Well, we had our differences," he said slowly, reaching up to scratch thoughtfully at his dark hairline. "There were wars, includin' the one we - the States that is - fought against Britain for our independence. But, I'd reckon we rubbed along well enough for the goin' on with."

They came to the trees now though so she fell silent, amusing that someone else might be in the area.

He was at least pleased to see that the trees were offering fruit he recognized. (One could never be certain what they might find when it came to the capitol.)
[OOC: If you wanna time-jump it to after they've gathered up some fruit goodies I'm good with that.]

When she was leading the way back to her ride she glanced over at him. "All set?" she asked quietly.
no subject
"I reckon," he nodded, glancing sidelong at her. "I appreciate yer help, Miss, not everybody would have."
no subject
"Good luck with everything."

As they neared her building, he drifted to one side, moving away in a natural, easy sort of way... until something occurred to him.
Pausing, he looked back. "'Frontierland's' where I think I'm gonna be stayin'. Should ya find yerself over that way, I'll be happy to return the favor."

"With any luck." He knew he was popular with certain groups of fans, with the District that made up his old home, but the Capitol itself... there was no love lost there and some tributes always went missing.
"District 10, if ya'd like a visit sometime."

As he walked away, he smiled.
