[Waking up is as frightening an experience as it had been finding himself in Panem in the first place. The crushing disappointment upon waking and realizing that, indeed, this isn't a nightmare is palpable--and so too is the sudden realization that Blaine is nowhere to be found.

It's late in the evening, and Kurt is alone and terrified. He considers hiding and waiting for Blaine to appear again, but that feels too much like waiting to die. So he gets up and stretches his legs a little, moving around while still staying close to the spot where he'd fallen asleep.

He's hyper-aware of every sound and movement around him, so a sudden nearby beeping has him jumping out of his skin. What looks like a small parachute is descending a few yards away, and he remembers what he was told about supplies-- Quickly he runs out to retrieve it, and is surprised to see his name on.

Inside is some food, and he realizes quite suddenly just how hungry he is. It takes a lot of willpower not to scarf it all down at once, and he sits as far away from the marsh as he can (it smells horrible) to eat some of it.

He's alone, scared and completely unarmed.]

[Blaine's arm ends up falling asleep a bit in the angle he has it in.]

Kurt? [He asks in a really, really small voice. If Kurt is already asleep he doesn't want to wake him.]

Go to sleep, Blaine.

[He turns his head a little, and oh hey Blaine's face is close. Wow.]

I'm trying... But... my arm.

[A pause] Do you mind if I... [He moves his arm around Kurt a bit, keeping it up a bit so that it's not exactly wrapped around Kurt, but the intent is pretty clear. He doesn't let it settle without permission though.]

Can you what?

[He's pretty sure he knows what. Also Blaine's face is awfully close to his neck right now. Kurt can't help but notice how warm his breath is on it. It makes him shiver a little.]

Blaine...

Can I put my arm here? [He asks as he puts his arm around Kurt.]

Yeah. If that's more comfortable.

Of course it is. [Blaine's arm becomes more solid in its grip as he moves a little closer to Kurt. He looks up at Kurt's face, which is even closer now.]

Holding you always is... [He says without even thinking about it. His voice is low enough that he could even pretend he didn't say it.]

[His stomach flops a little at that.]

Blaine... This doesn't change anything, okay? [There's very little conviction in those words, though. Just like at the wedding.]

I know... [Blaine says softly. Unlike the wedding, he doesn't have the knowledge of Kurt pulling him into a hotel room to fuel his conviction that they were meant to be.]

Shh. Just try to sleep.

[And he's gonna close his eyes and do just that. It takes a while, but Blaine's arms are warm and he's so exhausted that his body finally lets him calm down enough to sleep. It isn't very deep sleep; more like a light doze--but his chest rises and falls evenly as he rests, and he's still vaguely aware of Blaine's warm and firmness behind him.]

[As always, Blaine just seems to settle perfectly behind Kurt. He moves closer, so that his chest is pressed into Kurt's back. His mouth ends up right at Kurt's neck. In his half-dozing state he responds to feeling Kurt's skin so close to his lips and kisses at the warm lightly.

He mouths the words 'I love you' against Kurt's neck, unable to say them aloud.]

[Kurt's still half-asleep when he feels the breath on his neck, the soft press of lips on his skin. He's woken up like this so many times before, so the natural reaction is to turn his head slightly, exposing more of his neck for Blaine.]

Mm...

[Blaine's head leans up a bit so that he can kiss the neck that is exposed for him. He lets himself enjoy touching Kurt, pleased that he can. In his half-asleep state he almost thinks this is a dream.]

[He just hums softly, lazy and content, enjoying the warm kisses and how they seem to heat him up from the inside. Slowly he angles his head slightly, seeking out those lips, wanting more of them.]

[Blaine kisses at Kurt's lips. The realization that his is real slowly starts to dawn on him with the warmth of Kurt's mouth. He doesn't stop it, even though he knows he probably should.

This doesn't change anything, he repeats to himself, but it feels like it changes everything.]

[Kissing Blaine is so easy, so natural. Kurt keeps his eyes closed as he kisses lazily, enjoying the warmth and softness. He's waking up too, but he feels like if he keeps his eyes closed he can pretend this is just a dream or an extension of the wedding and that nothing will change afterward.

After we wake up.]

[Instead of pulling away as he becomes more aware that this is really happening, Blaine tightens his arm around Kurt's body, pressing him closer inside of the sleeping bag.

He can't make things get too heated considering where they are, but he lets himself settle into the warmth and perfection of making out with Kurt.

He only pulls away when he has to breathe, and even that he pushes until the last possible moment.]

[Keeping his eyes closed actually makes Kurt feel more tired, and he lets the kiss break with a sleepy, content sigh before snuggling back into Blaine's arms. He yawns, already half asleep.]

G'night Blaine.

Mmm... Good night. [Blaine says softly. He's more comfortable now that they're not fighting settling against each other. He's also much warmer.]
