[OPEN] ► Week 3 | On the Ice
WHO| Lindsey and OPEN
WHAT| Lindsey thought hiding in a crevice is a good idea to get out of the wind. Turns out it's a great idea. He's going to kill some people.
WHEN| 3rd Week
WHERE| Ice fields and crevice
WARNINGS/NOTES| Death, backstabbing, fighting, blood, gore. You know the drill.
A frozen wasteland. This arena had to be a freaking frozen wasteland. All the hard work that he put into learning those edible wild plants, as insisted by Eliot, was a waste of time when there wasn't even a leaf to be found anywhere.
He had hidden himself into the nooks and nannies, barely surviving, but who knew how much longer this could last. So when some hospitable sponsor gave him a rope, he decided to make good use of it by lowering himself into one of those large fissures in the ice, hoping that it would at least keep him out of the wind.
He made one of them his 'hideout' and spent the rest of the time trying to find hunt for anything. Birds for feathers, meat, eggs, even their stinky nests so he could get some things to burn. And, if he was lucky, he'll catch a tribute unaware too. Lindsey was damn determined to stay alive in this one.

Damn, he hadn't heard her coming up at all.
And his bird, it was trying to use the distraction to run away.
"Hell! Get back here!" Seeing the woman didn't look like she was going to attack him, he turned and tried to get at the bird again.

Parker is chastising him now, as Eliot's not that inept: particularly with falling.
Also, how is Eliot so surprised at her appearance? She randomly appears all the time!

After that, he brushed himself off and stood up to give the girl a glance.
"Easier said than done," he told her as he picked up the dead bird by the neck. "These birds don't stay down."
no subject
"You're smarter than a bird."
She's smiling at the man, which, if he knew her, would translate too I'm so happy you're here.
no subject
Maybe he shouldn't keep leading her on after all.
"Also, you've got the wrong Spencer."

Then she starts laughing. It's a knee-slapping type of laugh, complete with literal knee-slapping.
She takes a breath as though to speak, but only more laughter comes out.
no subject
"What's so funny?" he demanded crossly as he turned to stare at her. Something was seriously wrong with this chick.
no subject
"Wrong Spencer? There's only one Eliot Spencer. World would go boooooooooooooom with more." It's likely she's paraphrasing something once said by a pretzel.
no subject
"Parker, right? Like I said, wrong one. I'm Lindsey McDonald."
no subject
Yes, she said that.
"And you said wrong Spencer. McDonalds isn't a Spencer. It's a cheeseburger.
no subject
"Get it straight, Parker. I don't know you, I don't know this Hardison, and McDonald is a strong respectable name." He tilted his head back arrogantly, the effect imaged by how bundled up he was. "I want nothing to do with the other Spencers, that's why."
no subject
"Eliot, you're not funny."
no subject
Turning, he picked up his dead bird and started to head back towards where he was hiding out. When he discovered the woman was following him, he stopped and stared back at her. "Why are you following me? I'm not Eliot."
no subject
"Eliot, stop it"

no subject
Abducted by aliens and changing his memory? Totally. Eliot having a twin brother and the world not imploding? No.
Instead of responding, Parker's going to look genuinely hurt, genuinely rejected, but she's not going to follow him anymore.
no subject
Satisfied that she wasn't following him, she gave him the nerves, Lindsey moved with his bird back to his safety corner inside a crevice.
