[OPEN] ► Week 3 | On the Ice
WHO| Lindsey and OPEN
WHAT| Lindsey thought hiding in a crevice is a good idea to get out of the wind. Turns out it's a great idea. He's going to kill some people.
WHEN| 3rd Week
WHERE| Ice fields and crevice
WARNINGS/NOTES| Death, backstabbing, fighting, blood, gore. You know the drill.
A frozen wasteland. This arena had to be a freaking frozen wasteland. All the hard work that he put into learning those edible wild plants, as insisted by Eliot, was a waste of time when there wasn't even a leaf to be found anywhere.
He had hidden himself into the nooks and nannies, barely surviving, but who knew how much longer this could last. So when some hospitable sponsor gave him a rope, he decided to make good use of it by lowering himself into one of those large fissures in the ice, hoping that it would at least keep him out of the wind.
He made one of them his 'hideout' and spent the rest of the time trying to find hunt for anything. Birds for feathers, meat, eggs, even their stinky nests so he could get some things to burn. And, if he was lucky, he'll catch a tribute unaware too. Lindsey was damn determined to stay alive in this one.

He aimed the sharp heavy spikes of his booted feet forward with every intention of kicking the man down. If he could catch him with a blow to the head, then even better.
no subject
"Figures, slip of my wrist back in beginning and I face ghosts of it already. Look Lindsey right? Come on we can talk about this first right?" He really didn't want to have to kill both twins.
no subject
Had he made a terrible mistake after all?
"You remember me! I'm touched." He moved around warily, hoping to find a more advantageous spot. "But as much as I'd like to chitchat, we have a game to put on, adoring fans to wave to. You know the drill."
no subject
"Look if this is because my hand slipped and I didn't save your brother earlier I'm sorry. I did fully intend to save him." Yeah Chris, should just shut up.

Lindsey curled the fishing wires around his cold hands. Damn he wanted those gloves. "Maybe just once."
no subject
He thought about removing the gloves too, but they actually gave him some grip on the knife so he didn't. Motioning with his free hand he beckoned Lindsey to come at him.
no subject
"Oh, I'm all for the public image. Have a crowd to please after all." He nodded his head at the long blade as if saying he wasn't that stupid. Slowly, he tried to circle around to get into a better position.
no subject
Okay so not, but that's because Chris is guessing the guy isn't Military by the way he holds himself.
no subject
It made sense, Lindsey was holding fish lines and hooks, he would naturally want the guy with the knife to get rid of it first.

Still, he was stronger than he looked. Even without the magical boost of power, he had trained relentlessly and was confident he could surprise the guy with a move or two.
no subject
"Three," The knife was sticking out of the ice near his gear.
no subject
However, he was now unarmed and circling around, trying to get to Chris still and, hopefully, get nearer to his stuff.
"So, about that thing where you killed my brother? Can't let you go for that."
no subject
He really didn't want to fight Lindsey, but watching him, he knew the other guy hadn't been as lucky this arena. Taking him out or letting him take me out would help him out, guy looks half frozen already Chris thought knowing he wouldn't go for cheap shots even if the other did. He'd play the Capitol's game by his rules.

Not liking how he was being lead away from the gear, Lindsey tried to get them back on track, but by moving Chris away from it.
"What makes you think that you'll be the one to kill me?" Lindsey asked with a laugh. "Don't underestimate me, muscle boy."
no subject
"Besides you talk too much." He was tired of waiting and charged forward.
no subject
So when the other man charged, instead of meeting him, he tried to get out of the way. He held a hand up and, from the training in Nepal, he called upon his energies to throw the man away. It was a reflexive move, like muscle memory, that he hadn't even been aware of doing it in his desperation since, as they all knew, magic didn't work here.
Or did it?
How'd I lose this one Damn... >.<
"Okay what the hell was that?" Taking a moment to get his wits about him he got back to his feet, brushing the back of his hand across his lip. There wasn't blood at least, but he had felt something crack with the impact. Moving didn't hurt yet so he'd worry about injuries later. Eyes scouted for Lindsey to see where the other man was.
Oops?
As soon as he recovered his surprise, sooner than Chris he would imagine, he raced for the knife that the other man put down. Let this be a lesson to him in arrogance and disarming.
"Well, well, what do you know. Magic does work in this world after all."
Re: Oops?

It took a lot out of him, but it was so worth it.
"I like these odds," he said as he climbed back to his feet, knife in hand.
no subject
He circled Lindsey carefully trying to see a way to get in without the blade digging into him.
"Won't have em long you know."
no subject
A blue light started to twirl around Lindsey's hand in a twin spiral, then down the length of the short knife until it reached the tip. It never went past it, however, and even as it continued to extend down, the length of the blade followed to match it. By the time it faded away, the blade was a full sized broadsword.
"See?"
