Lindsey jumped back when he heard the sudden voice speak back, nearly losing his footing and falling on the ice. He managed to regain it in the nick of time though and spun quickly around to point his small knife at the strange woman behind him.

Damn, he hadn't heard her coming up at all.

And his bird, it was trying to use the distraction to run away.

"Hell! Get back here!" Seeing the woman didn't look like she was going to attack him, he turned and tried to get at the bird again.
