( she's trying to pull her weight, stubbornly refusing to sit tight and rely on rick and daryl to keep them going. they have some food for now, especially considering that jason seems to be sending her stuff in small increments every once in a while. but it won't last if they don't keep adding to that. beth doesn't really know what she's looking for, but she's got a knife and one of the plastic containers their food came from, figuring she could grab some water if nothing else. but maybe there are fruit bushes that the animals eat from, which would tell her that they probably weren't poison. or maybe she could actually hunt something with just a knife.
beth treads carefully, grateful for the boots that arrived via parachute the other day. it's so perfectly quiet and still, excepting the slight whistling of the wind and -- the crunch of footsteps on snow.
she turns in time to see something in the distance -- someone? she sees horns, but no. he's definitely wearing the same outfit as all the other tributes were given. she tenses for a moment, remembering how that woman had killed her last arena without a second thought. but after a moment, she calls out. )
