[open] winter's light feels different on my skin
Who| Adella and hopefully no one who wants to kill her
What| Arrival in the Arena
Where| the pine forest, heading east.
When| late week 1, midday.
Warnings/Notes|
Adella would have liked a minute to gather her bearings, before she was shoved though the tube into the Arena. She, of course, wasn't afforded that. What information she was given and expected to run with she'd have to sort through, later. Instinct told her to run, as soon as she was given the chance to, and she did, heading for the forest.
The cold in the Arena felt familiar, at least. Skyhold was in a good location, it could get almost warm during the day, but it was a drafty old castle in the middle of a mountain range. The cold in the Arena was nothing she wasn't used to, although she would have liked her own clothes instead of what they'd provided her with.
She slowed to a walk after her sprint into the woods, looking around for any kind of advantage she could grab a hold of. Being unarmed and acutely aware that she's cut off from her magic worries her. It's been a long time since she felt like she was a caged animal, but that feeling creeps into the back of her mind as she looks around, her head jerking at every sound. One thing struck home, at least. There's people here, and supposedly they want to kill her.

"For most of is, yes. At the very least we know each other. Maxwell, on the other hand... I believe he has been finding it hard." And Dorian, but like he was going to admit to it. She'd already seen it anyway. He smiled, however, to the last.
"Ah, yes. The circle. I can only imagine what sort of trouble it must have brought you- a Mage leading the inquisition."
More or less than a Dalish elf being the Herald of Andraste, he wondered?

She cleared her throat, nodding her head at his observation.
"There have been problems. Less so the more I make sure people don't die horribly because of Corypheus."
no subject
Well, maybe with a few exceptions.
He raised an eyebrow at the last, however. "Ah- yes. I should warn you, not only are the 'realms' different, but the timelines as well. Hardly surprising, but- I come from a good deal later than you, apparently. At least respectively."

She shakes her head, clearing that thought away, before looking up at Dorian curiously at his statement. "Later? So... You did it, then. Beat Corypheus?" That is surprisingly comforting. Everything is uncertain where she left it. They foiled his use of the mages, and his assassination attempt, his demon army would grow no larger with the destruction of Adamant. Still, she has had her doubts. But if another Inquisitor had already done it? Maybe she could too.

"Ah-- yes. Until you, I'd been careful not to speak of it - in case there really were time magic at work, I didn't want to inadvertently change something that had made us victorious. But now - well. If we are from different realms after all, I don't see how it can hurt. He saw his defeat a few weeks before I was brought to this place."

"We were just about to march on the Arbor Wilds, when I was brought here. I'm not pleased to be away but... It helps to know that someone else succeeded."
no subject
"A hard-won success, but success it was. At least, unlike the rest of you, I know I've left my world in a state that won't miss me too much." Gavin, on the other hand - a slight twinge of pain twisted his expression but he hid it quickly.
Gavin would miss him, but he would move on.
