If there's one reoccuring theme in Anna's life, it's being on her own. Sure, that's changed in recent times, but for the most part, the princess is used to having her independence. Being in a big, huge Arena with a whole mall to explore for the first time ever is thrilling, despite the danger, and as much as she loves Kristoff and feels much safer with him around, she's noticed something in the first few weeks: he won't leave her alone!

Not that she wants him to--not completely, anyway. But a girl does need her independence, and having someone by her side 24/7 has quickly become stifling to Anna. So finally, she does the only sensible thing, and pulls him aside. The fact that it happens to be inside the lingerie store, which is mercifully sans Bro at the moment, doesn't seem to bother Anna at all.

"Hey, in here! I gotta talk to you," she murmurs, tugging him deeper into the store, where bras and panties are littered everywhere.

Kristoff's used to being on his own as well. Most of the time it was just him and Sven, and it had been that way for years, starting from before he can really remember. But the difference is not so much that Kristoff is used to having independence, so much as he's used to being alone. And having Anna suddenly burst into his life had been a change to all that, and while she had worn on him at first (and still does on occasion, because no one's perfect) he's found his life to be better with her in it. After all, he loves her, and with that comes some certain things, like the urge he has to protect her.

He knows she's a smart girl, that she's strong and fast on her feet but this place. In this place that wasn't enough and he knew in turn that Anna could be too trusting, sometimes leaping into action without fully considering what she's doing. He knows that and it's something that equally frustrates and endears her to him and he can't help but stick close to her side, hoping that his size will be enough to keep some people off. He knows Anna's starting to chafe under that, he does, but if it keeps her safe how can he not do it?

"Anna," he says with a start as she tugs him into the store and he can feel embarrassment creeping up the back of his neck in a pink flush as he recognises what the store stocks. "Isn't there somewhere else? The bookshop?" Or literally anywhere else? He'd take standing in the fountain right now. "It might be more... appropriate?"
