Do ya need a break from modern livin'? Do ya long to shed your weary load?
What: part1: Harley has booby trapped some plush toys to explode
part2: This crazy bitch is driving a luxury SUV around the mall.
Where: All over the mall
When: All of Week 2
Warnings: People
Part A
It's innocent looking enough. A cute plush doll laying discarded on the floor. Interestingly enough it's someone you're fond of!
Lurking nearby, perhaps in a trashcan or a planter or behind that display case is Harley Quinn, still in her clown makeup and dress and waiting...juuuust waiting for you.
She's been watching you, waiting for the right moment to cast out this bait. A long thin fishing line leads from her glove clad fingers to the doll itself, almost invisible to the naked eye. And inside that doll the fishing line is tied to the pin of one of her grenades.
Will you pick up the bait? Will you survive the blast? May the odds be ever in your favor~
Part B
It starts around lunchtime when the fresh food has been resupplied in the food court area. The squealing of tires and the roaring of an engine are not your only warning that something is coming...but it's a good start.
Aside from the occasional crash of a bench or a sign being smashed into there is music blaring out from the open windows of the Luxury SUV that Harley has helped herself to.
Occasionally doing doughnuts, occasionally driving backwards she starts on the third floor Harley has learned that if she drives at full speed she can jump the cushy vehicle from one floor down to the one below it with only some minor bruising. She also learned with delight that no matter how badly she wrecks the thing...it reappears the next day.
And so...every day this week Harley will be returning to take the SUV from it's pedestal and resume her rampage. Does anyone dare stop this madwoman?
Does anyone want to join her?
Re: Part B
Not as fast she would like, but it was a start.
"Well so far. We sleep in shifts and try to help each other where we can. We're not in murder spirits yet, so that's always good."
Re: Part B
Harley jerked the wheel hard sending them into a surprisingly graceful doughnut before she hit the gas rocketing them back the way they came, racing for the barrier that kept people from falling off the third floor.
"What about that pink haired kid. What's her skill set?"
Re: Part B
She cheered loudly when Harley jerked them about some more, loving how close they felt to being pitched out of the car. She needed something to get her blood running, after all.
"Still figuring that out. She's going to have some figuring out to do."
Re: Part B
Laying on the gas a little more it became clear a piece of the railing had been bent and ripped out...probably from Harley ramming into it on a previous day. The car was now barreling for this SUV sized gap in the railing set to plummet off the third floor.
With a manic grin Harley glanced at her cohort to see if the thrill of adrenaline was pumping her up the same way it filled Harley.
Re: Part B
The sad thing was it was just the type of bastard thing she expected from a place like this. Why wouldn't they do that?
Instead of thinking of that, Mindy threw her hands as the car continued barreling through, it occurring to her that this recklessness could get them killed. But hell, Harley had never died from this, right?
Re: Part B
It was better to make these choices on your own rather then having them made for you.
The car hit so hard it cracked and smashed floor tiles under the tires. The whole vehicle bounced once, twice before skidding and spinning to a stop, only inches away from the display window of a shop that seemed to sell nothing but socks.
Harley...predictably cackled.
Re: Part B
Then, of course, reality kicked in. They landed, and Mindy was alive, thankfully. She kicked open the car, her head trying to wrap around the fact they were still living. Oh, sure, her knuckles were battered to shit, she was scraped up and there was a trickle of blood from her forehead, but she was ALIVE.
"That was fucking awesome!"
Re: Part B
"Right? Who says arenas can't be fun?"
Re: Part B
"Man, we could have died. I think I'll be crazier than this on my own!"
Meaning if she didn't have someone she was looking out for, who knew what road she'd take?
"Hey. Did you see the food court lately?"
Re: Part B
Re: Part B
Re: Part B
It was somewhat of a grim mental image even by Harley's standards.
Re: Part B
Truthfully, she felt bad for Eps. That was a death in disgrace.
Re: Part B
"Well it wouldn't be too hard to do something like that to Eppy. She's a lightweight at best and a spanner in the works at her worst." Which was to say she only screwed things up by trying.
"It's nice to know we still have a few tributes who actually want to play the game instead of thumbing out noses at the Capitol and getting blown to bits for it." She thought Steve was cute but his little stunt had created quite the gory mess.
Re: Part B
Which made plenty sense to her.
"Oh shut up," Mindy said, rolling her eyes. "Give us a few week and we'll be at each other's throats. No speech is gonna change that. Everybody knows it, whether they listened to Captain or not."
Re: Part B
Re: Part B
Re: Part B
"Oh come on like I'd want that. You're already stabby so I'm not about to hold back with you but those innocent ones should be allowed to stay that way. I just wish they would stop pulling in types like that and stick with the ones like you or me. I think it's more interesting in every way." She smirked.
"I mean come on, aren't they used to watching innocent kids murder each other yet?"
Re: Part B
And not only that-she planned to remind these bastards why she had made mentor as young as she had to begin with.
"No, I don't think they ever got that out of their system."
Re: Part B
"You're too responsible for your own good." She smiled warmly "Our district is lucky they have you to balance me out."
Re: Part B
Which was bullshit. She'd never forgotten, she just bore the guilt of breaking that in her won arena.
"Bound to get worse from here, once they start to care less that we're kids."
Re: Part B
"This is getting too heavy and it's a conversation with no closure. You wanna drive instead of wandering off and you know...staying alive long enough to be useful to someone who needs you?"
Re: Part B
With that said, Mindy put the pedal to the metal.
Re: Part B
Mindy needed this release even more then Harley did. And so their relationship would continue with Harley doing whatever she could to balance out Mindy. When she needed comfort she could hug the girl. when she needed a distraction she could do that too.
And right now, they both needed some speed, power, and a fleeting sense of freedom.
