Stone age love and strange sounds too Come on baby let me get to you
What: Ruffnut finds the Berk themed store and misses her brother some.
Where: Third floor.
When: Week 2
Warnings: None yet but Ruffnut was beaten up in prison so that should come up, more warnings to come.
The front of the store was what caught Ruffnut's eye first. It had a wood paneled exterior with a glass window. Thick posts on either side of the door had been carved to resemble the heads of a hideous zippleback
It was like someone had wanted her attention.
Drawing closer and peering through the window her eyes lit up at the sight. A miniture Berk spread out on display complete with little dragon figures that were posed in various fierce and menacing ways. Plush dolls of Astrid, Hiccup and Ruffnut were also on display here but a small sign read "Currently sold out, Try the Build-a-buddy store on level 1"
Casting a wary look over her shoulder Ruffnut hitched up the gun slung on her back and crept inside.
The store itself was a cluttered mess to be sure. Shelves upon shelves of dragon figures, models, pillows and blankets. Even T-shirts and hats designed to look like your favorite dragon.
To one wall was a display of swords, axes and shields which Ruffnut was disappointed to find...were flimsy plastic and foam. But to her great delight there were some proper helmets nearby...which also were flimsy and would provide no actual protection. Despite this she plunked one on her head before continuing.
Some heavy looking cans lined the check out counter and upon closer inspection Ruffnut recoiled at the label. "Yaknog." Were she a more astute girl she might marvel and be horrified by how the Capitol had managed to recreate such a small aspect of her culture.
Instead she was just happy to have something that reminded her of home.
Glancing around again suspiciously, her hand slid into the pocket of her stolen hoodie and she retrieved a plush doll she had cobbled together at the build-a-buddy shop. It looked like her but had a more masculine face thanks to a few lines she'd drawn with a marker. his clothes were slightly different as well.
"Whattya think Tuff?" She asked the doll softly. As she spoke for the doll she did her best impression of her brothers voice.
"I think you should see what happens if you drop a can of Yak Nog off the balcony onto someone's head!"

The pillars around the store were what drew her attention. Things that ornate and made of wood didn't exist where she came from, everything was metal and glass and half the trees were artificial anyway. She took a moment to admire the wood before her eyes turned towards the contents of the store. It kinda looked like a store for kids.
Still, she headed in and took some time looking at everything, completely unaware there might be anyone else in there with her. She only grew more distracted as she noticed the shelves of dragon pillows.
"Oh, wow! How cute!" She went right up to the shelves and instantly picked one up, snuggling her face into it as she held it.

"Hey! Dragons are not cute! Dragons are totally awesome killing machines of fire and teeth and claws and death and stuff!" She protested vainly.
