For an arena, things had been going pretty smoothly, at least on their end. There's been a couple minor cuts and scrapes and bruises, but that was hardly concerning considering they were supposed to be fighting for their lives. They would have to eventually, he was sure of it, but if they could put it off as long as possible, that would be better.

This morning, however, they needed to restock their supplies, both food and other things. This time it was Jet to suggest they split up. Since it didn't seem like that big of a deal beyond that first night, he figured it was just smarter to get the errands done faster to keep them out of danger. Albert had been the one to get the food the last few times, so Jet offered to do it this time instead.

It was early enough, he doubted he'd run into very many people, especially any that wanted to cause trouble.

"Why would I sneak around?" Alex actually sounds surprised - or as surprised as his neurosuppression allows, which, admittedly, isn't much if you aren't listening hard for it. But it seems to get a reaction out of him, a corner of his mouth turning down slightly as his eyebrow twitches like he wants to raise it. He's aware he's loud, that his chassis whirs and clanks and whispers. It's something he's sure will be worked out in future models. "Remain calm."

He'd say "and follow me" but he can see Mr. Barnes has other ideas. He hesitates for a second, as if Alex's unsure if he should stop the man from what unsafe use of the Mall, but it's either that or he puts Jet down to deal with a lower rung on his priority list.

Alex decides to ignore the hazard Mr. Barnes poses, filing a note to perform [ ACTION: ADMONISH / SAFETY PROTOCOLS ] after he's delivered Jet to his safe place.

He marches his way up the escalator, the metal groaning under his weight in a way that would make most sane people close their eyes, go stiff with anticipation. Eventually they make it to the top, Alex pausing to look for any other able-bodied citizens who need assistance, chin swiveling over Jet's head.

A strong and swift throw loops the metal around the upper levels bannister. A tug ensures that it is secure to take his weight.

With that Bucky begins pulling himself upwards, making the journey upwards quicker than Alex and Jet, so much so he is unconcernedly pulling up the rope and wrapping it up to be put away by the time they appear again.

Walking over to the pair he glances down at the escalators, surprised to see none of the steps have crumpled away underneath Alex's weight. "You made it." is all he says, blandly.
