Fun for all ages.
Who: Harley Quinn, the build a buddies and you!
What: Harley has set up camp in the build-a-buddy store and is having a littleme party.Tea party. Stop by and she'll help you make a dolly of your very own! Or she might stab you...this is Harley we're talking about.
Where: The Build-a-buddy workshop on the first floor across from the movie theater.
When: Week 1
Warnings: Well it's Harley Quinn...so let's start there and see what happens.
Harley had always had a fondness for plush toys. In fact back at her room in the district suite there was more stuffed animals then anything else despite her recent addition of a small jungle's worth of plant life to honor her long lost friend Poison Ivy.
So after the scramble at the Cornucopia she'd wandered about in delight exploring the mall only to settle on this store loaded to the gills with plushie parts! Her eyes were wide as she marveled at all the different combinations one could prepare to design your very own plushie based on tributes that were either currently in the mall with her, or past favorites. In a matter of hours she'd made a small army of them and they lined every available shelf and counter.
As the first few days of the arena past she made the little shop more comfortable for herself every day, but the irritating robot janitors of the mall kept trying to put things back where they belonged which included dragging off her lovingly crafted plushies. That simply couldn't do. The latest of these mechanical offenders had been impaled on a broom handle and left outside the store like a warning to it's fellows.
Having cobbled together an outfit appropriate for a tea party complete with white makeup covering her face and black makeup around her eyes and lips, Harley seemed to be taking a break from the usual arena activities of seeking out food or victims and was sitting down at a table with a collection of little dolls that looked eerily like her closest friends and allies. Many were long since dead like a little Diana Prince doll, and at least one was recently dead as the Cinderella doll sat to one side with a lovely little black dress and her own cup of imaginary tea.
"Now now Damian, don't threaten Timmy's girlfriend. There's plenty of cookies to go around!"
And sure enough while the tea was imaginary Harley had collected a platter of cookies from the food court. Each cup had some water in it to help wash down the sweet treats.
Oddly enough, Harley didn't feel the need to barricade the door to her little lair, either she had confidence in her ability to defend herself...or she was being incredibly careless.
She considered it "Inviting".

Now the doll was a threat.
"Look! Behind you there brat!" She gestured with the pointed cutting tools. "This shop has everything you need to make as many Eva's as you want. I made one so why don't you?" Her voice softened. "See those little hearts there? You make a wish when you put the heart inside your doll and that makes the doll special just for you." She paused and added "greedy frog girl."

"You ought not to do that!" She admonished. "It is a dolly. You ought to love her, not hurt her." Eponine shook her head - what was she saying? She'd have Harley in fits if she carried on. But she couldn't help herself.
"You fill them? With a heart inside? Will you make me an Eva? I do not know how to do such a machine." She picked up the Eva casing she had taken, and held it out to Harley. "Do you think we will be allowed to have them when we go home as well?"
no subject
"Well now's as good a time as ever to learn. Sewing is a very useful skill to have especially in the arena. Go on go stuff your dolly over there with that box of fluff. After you get her all filled up you can mess around with the needle and thread."
Harley saw no reason to be nicer to Eponine then she already had been. Eps should consider herself lucky Harley was nice at all.

"Are you going to stab me?"

"You, Miss, will not blame me for his death. I did NOT mean to get Orc dead."
no subject
"No I don't mean about your love. What happened to you was awful, but everything leading up to that was your own fault and instead of trying to better yourself you get into these like...destructive spirals where you do stupid things, get in trouble, cry and get over it."
She casually brought a cookie to her mouth and crunched on it.
"Why, did you tell your boyfriend to come on that mission to rescue whoever?"
no subject
"What else am I to do? If I kept on it, I should be shrivelled up and all tears and that is no good... I were rescuing Eva. Trying to. Orc, he insisted to come. I did not want him, but he loved me too much to let me go alone."

As if Harley's plan had been any better.
no subject
no subject
"Was there more to this plan? Or were you just going to climb the wall and walk into the base full of armed guards?"
Because Eponine so far this is a terrible plan.

"You? Quiet? I haven't seen you shut up since we met! Besides even if you were a ninja that place is so loaded with cameras and motion sensors there's no way a stealth approach could work."
Then again some people had escaped. Who knew what was different between them.

"I were desperate. They were going to kill my Mama. That Miss Blackwood says so."

And that was being generous.

Because Harley loved alliteration.

"You ought not to say it of him, you know?" She knows she ought not to answer. But... but she wants a biscuit. But...
She sighs.
She tried to think anyway. "I loved... I loved him saying I was beautiful. And that I was a princess. And that he gave me beer. I loved that he thought - " She blushed bright red. "I am not telling you that. But it is a thing. And... and he were kind. He gave me a dog. I wanted a cat really, but he got me a French dog. And I loved his eyes. They were so tiny, but so kind. And I liked the way his skin felt when I made him happy - I liked him when he was so happy. He made me feel happy to make him so. I loved that he showed me the music box, and his sheep - I loved his sheep. Now -" She held her hand out.
no subject
"The Beer, the dog, and the sheep were all basically the same thing. You loved how generous he was. Saying you are beautiful AND a princess is kind of the same thing too. You loved that he complimented you. The music box...well actually I dunno what you mean by that but it sounds like it could be precious. The rest of it was actually sweet. So gimmie five more truths about pebbles and you can have the rest."
Because even if you refuse to acknowledge it, Harley would like to make a point about what love is. And love is not just buying you a puppy that you forget about.
no subject
"But you will STOP calling him 'pebbles', yes? He is CHARLES."
no subject
A little harsh, but it's not like Eponine is her favorite person.

"Did he have anyone else who liked him enough to care? Other then the fans?"
no subject
"It weren't my fault. It weren't my fault." She shook her head.
