Who| Ian and open
What| Ian's death at the hands of his zombie friend
Where| Main street, out in the open
When| Week 5, just before the hellrena
Warnings/Notes| Stabbing, death. Come and (fail to) help Ian and/or kill Susan while Ian dies. Or just steal his stuff afterwards.
Ian had seen other people in the arena like Susan, but he still believed this was Susan and she could be herself again, with just a little help. He was, he believed, keeping him sane, although sanity was a relative thing at this point.
She seemed to pause when they were nearly at the house he'd been camping out in. "Nearly home." He smiled over at her, not that she responded. She never did. He put an arm round her to hurry her along. She seemed to stumble, then stood up straight, suddenly losing that vacant look.
"Susan?" he asked hopefully. He saw the glint of metal too late, and even if he had seen it sooner he wouldn't have defended himself. She'd got his folding knife and thrust it into his chest.
She'd missed his heart, which wasn't that much of a mercy really, as he fell back, bleeding, looking at her in confusion. She smiled a little, but it wasn't the sort of smile he'd wanted to see.
He shuffled back as she advanced on him with the knife, looking like she was going to finish him off.
