A kill and a death
Who| Pruna and Danny, then Pruna, Mindy and Sandy
What| Pruna kills Danny, then Mindy and Pruna have a massive fight
Where| Staircases for Danny and then floor 6 planetarium for Mindy
When| Week Four, after gun rush
Warnings/Notes| Death, small murderchildren killing each other, probably swearing, and obvious violence, blood.
[Staircases] Pruna creaped up the staircase as quietly as she could. Just one flight, checking the way was clear before going back down for Sandy. A trail of blood followed them up but it wasn't like the floor wasn't already stained, Pruna held her gun at her side, her other hand holding a dagger if she wasn't helping Sandy move.
She cleared each section, checking for tributes, making sure it was safe. She half hoped she found someone, they needed more supplies, food would be good but first aid things were better. Sandy was really injured and once they got somewhere defendable Pruna would have to try and fix her.
They were about half way up the museum when she spotted him, she made a gesture back at Sandy to stay hidden and silent, and approached him.
[Planetarium] It was here among the stars that Pruna decided to make camp, barricading Sandy in as best she could and using everything she could find to bandage up her arm. At least enough to stop her from bleeding to death.
She put a few berries into Sandy's good hand, they didn't have many left. "You do be needing to be eating." She told her, standing up with the gun and watching in case anyone came in.

Staircases
The stupid orange thing had made Sandy feel stronger when she first put it on, but it was quickly pointed out to her in a near death experience that it was too bright and visible. But was proving to be somewhat decent at keeping the blood from spraying wildly from her broken arm.
Her face looked like she'd gotten into a fight with a lawn mower and lost. This was the third mask she'd put on over the course of the arena and it was leaving her bitter and grumpy. If she wasn't in shock over the loss of her arm she might actually be more scare. All she could think of though was of how sore her shoulder was where the stump simply ended. And how her face was throbbing with pain as all the little cuts leaked more of her precious life fluid.
She remained silent though if only out of practice. Each bare foot she placed on the cold stairs following Pruna was another step closer to rest. And god did she need it. She felt almost like this was all happening to someone else and she was just watching a movie about Pruna from the perspective of Pruna's stupid weak friend.
When Pruna spotted someone Sandy immediately curled down into a ball as small as she could, fingers squeezing her stump of an arm until pain shot through her spine. She bit her blood lip to keep from gasping at the burst of sensation.
Time to do what they each did best. Pruna being violent while Sandy cowered in the shadows.

"It's alright kid, I'm not gonna try anything."

She needed to practice this pretending thing. "Someone did be ripping her arm off."

The only fib was that this poor sap needed to help.
Deciding to help with the act Sandy let out the sobs she'd been holding back, groaning and even squeezing her stump to get a little more realistic pain to work with.
This proved to be a terrible idea as she hissed and whimpered curling up tighter and feeling every muscle from her toes to her neck tighten at the pain. If she had any fluid left in her that hadn't been cried out or bled out she's sure she would have wet herself from the pain.

"I still have my first aid kit. Isn't perfect, but it'll help."
He hurried down the steps, and just past Pruna.

So she leaped at him, bringing her foot to the back of his knee and her knife to the back of his neck, just where his neck met his back.

Just because she adored Pruna didn't make the work Pruna did any easier for Sandy to swallow. But each time it went down a little smoother. Each time she felt less sick afterwards.
Maybe someday she'd be able to watch Pruna murder someone without turning away.

Of course, the paralysis isn't actually what kills him. Even with the blood loss, what does it in the end is the suffocation thanks to his damaged trachea letting said blood leak into his lungs. The sound of choking accompanies it all the way to the end

But here there were no healers and she was worried for Sandy and in a rush, and so she just grabbed all the stuff he had. It felt strange too, to not mutter prayers to the dark god as she did so, but the gods weren't in this world and death had no meaning. It was a strange thing.
She was at Sandy's side a few moments later. "Be coming on, we do be being almost there."
no subject
"Is he..." She didn't have to finish the question but of course she was asking about Danny's fate, unwilling to look at him.

Never letting an opportunity to teach pass her by, Pruna helped Sandy up the stairs slowly.

Just another body left in the dust.
Planetarium
To be nice, Sandy felt like she'd been run over by a bus. Everything was starting to hurt now that the shock was fading and even places that hadn't been injured were aching for some reason.
But what bothered her most was how she still felt pain in her left fingers, wrist and elbow. The missing arm had been abandoned downstairs but it still hurt somehow even when Sandy could very clearly see it wasn't there.
Re: Planetarium
Mindy was not at all happy with that.
"What the fuck happened with you two?"
no subject
Seeing it was Mindy did not make her relax, she was as much a threat as anybody. "It do no be being any of your business." She told her, "And you will be staying back."
no subject
But if Mindy was here things could get complicated. The girl was an ally that much Sandy was sure of. But her stability was as questionable as Pruna's. And with Sandy injured Pruna would be even more on edge.
They'd already lost Max as an ally in this arena, could they afford to alienate Mindy as well?
She would have spoken up but the berries in her throat were sliding down slow and making her eyes water so she had to focus on swallowing.
Besides it's not like Pruna had needed that much help from her so far in this arena.
no subject
"Fuck that," she said bluntly, walking to them. "You guys know me by now. I'm not going to come at you with tricks. If we're gonna fight, I'm going to tell you. I drove Sandy in a car for fucks sake."
She tossed them what she had left of her cheese. "You hear about Ellie?"
no subject
"No. Do she be being dead?" She knew Ellie, and sort of liked her. In the same way she liked Mindy and X5-452 (though she didn't like the latter anymore, after what she had done). Ellie was a little bit like her, enough that she would make a good ally.
no subject
"What happened?"
Ellie had seemed nice enough. At least she hadn't tried to kill them at first sight. And lately that seemed like all she could hope for.
no subject
She didn't seem too happy to mention him either, then looked at Pruna. "Of course YOU would get the gun and I wouldn't. Some bullshit."
no subject
She had no idea who Joel was, but her eyes narrowed at Mindy's next words, "Well you obviously did no be being fast enough." She took a half step back, holding the gun like she expected Mindy to try and take it.
no subject
She trembled and closed her eyes as her arm stump throbbed. "At least she's comfortable now...as comfortable as anyone can be in the Capitol I guess." She mumbled bitterly.
When she looked up to see Pruna so on edge she groaned. "Mindy maybe you should just...ya know...a couple steps back. She just wants to make sure I'm OK."
And the last thing Sandy needed was her allies ripping each other apart.
no subject
She looked from Sandy to Pruna. "I'm plenty fast. But I was fighting some alien chick. She was pretty quick too."
Being sliced up at the time didn't help either.
Mindy didn't say anything after this, but her mind was racing. She could clearly see that Pruna was going to have to do this for Sandy for the remainder of the Arena. Sandy looked like hell. This, though, was troubling to her. Raptor or not, things were taking a turn, and she was starting to realize that maybe she might need to push things into motion, take matters into her hands. Once the though came, the plan wove itself, took shape.
It was a gamble, and the most annoying thing about it was depending on someone else. She hated that. But this was a way, at least, to benefit and give a shared, albeit small, victory.
She was quick: she darted to Sandy, arm around the girl's throat, knife at her back. Her hold was strong: the exercises she'd been doing had her holding Sandy just a way that the girl couldn't break out.
"If you don't lower that gun, I break her neck, Pruna. Drop it on the floor, kick it away. I've killed for less."
no subject
Anger flooded Pruna, and this was why allies were stupid, because in the end they would betray you. Always and maybe Pruna had been stupid for not being more careful, and trusting Mindy's word.
Anger blazed in her eyes and the gun lowered, she dropped it to the floor and kicked it. But the kick was also a leap and she drove her knife towards the arm that was holding Sandy and brought her own hand to Mindy's throat.
She just hoped that Sandy had enough sense to pull away quickly, and get out of range.
no subject
So when Mindy was ontop of her all she thought to do was let out a startled "What the fuck?!" With adrenaline flooding her system she only barely caught Pruna's retaliation and decided to take her leave and let Pruna handle this.
She did however take the time to kick off Mindy's shin as she scrambled away. It's not like she had boots on but maybe it would help Pruna by throwing her off balance. Sandy was more concerned about not falling over as her center of balance was completely off.

Go ahead and just keep playing this out skipping Sandy till she needs to react again.
