What: Sandy's exploring The Wax figures and the Masks
Where: The Sixth Floor and later the second floor
When: Near the end of the first week.
Notes: Hooks in Sandy's face, possibly worse later.
She stood with reverence before one of the wax statues in the museum.
A proud black man stood looking down his nose at her the way he always did. Javert never was very kind to Sandy in word or glance.
But she owed him her life.
He was dressed in the Prince clothing from Disneyland, Orange to represent District Three.
Taking a deep breath she let it out with a sigh.
"I don't think I ever thanked you." She apologized to the wax figure. "I would have died in that arena alot sooner if you hadn't protected me."
Night after night, huddled together in the same sleeping bag, until he'd fallen at by the hand of Maximus.
"The last time I saw you, you were a zombie and trying to eat me. Then you just went away. Weren't you interesting enough for them?"
Stepping up onto the platform she reached up and rose onto her tippy toes to unclasp the cape.
"I'm sorry you didn't get to come back. You might actually like this arena. It's stuffy like you were."
With a tug the cape came free and she swung it over her shoulders clasping it into place. Her eye caught another statue and she shuffled over to it. Riddick. The first person she met in the games.
" You told me to stop running and dig down deep. Try to outlast everyone else. But I don't think that works for everyone, and I'm tired of running scared."
On this statue to she had to reach high to reach his head, tugging free the goggles on his bald head. They were too dark to wear practically but she would feel stronger with them on her forehead.
All around her were wax statues of the dead.
And if she could help it, she would never become one of them.
Picking up the crowbar that some generous sponsor had sent her, Sandy continued to explore looking for more accessories to make her feel stronger.

The Hall of Fallen tributes.
Or maybe she was just looking for inspiration.
Foraging for food and finding the masks. 2nd Floor
She had been picking through the brush and things for edible berries and leaves when she was sure she heard someone coming.
Lowering herself slowly to a knee she watched wide eyed and gently curled her fingers around a crowbar.
She still didn't want to kill, but she wouldn't be afraid of breaking someone's kneecap so she could run away.

She heard a sound from a little distance away and crept closer, ready in case whoever it was attacked her.

When they didn't it came down to one of two options, either she'd heard something else, or they were creeping up on her. Well two could play at that game!
Inching along as low to the ground as she could she scanned the area through the bushes hoping to catch sigh her would be murderer.

Finally she saw a figure, though they were hidden too much for Pruna to tell who they were. She scurried closer and leaped, trying to get the element of surprise.

Sandy turned just fast enough to face Pruna as she pounced and brought up the crowbar between them as a defense hoping to block whatever weapon she might have in hand. All too late did she see who was coming at her.
"ASHLEY STOP!" She begged as they crashed into each other and went tumbling to the dirt.

She rolled to the side, coming up on one knee. "Sandy! Do you be being hurt?"
no subject
"Fine, fine, fine...I'm...fine." She babbled to almost delusional with fear of almost being gutted by her girlfriend.
Blinking hard she lowered the bar slowly till her arms were flat on the ground.
"That was too close." She sighed.

"Y-yeah, sorry." And then because she needed it she sat up and wrapped her arms around Pruna.
"Finally found you. I was afraid something else would happen before we found each other." She mumbled into Pruna's neck.

"I've been sneaking around since then trying to find you. But you're really sneaky."

"He didn't really hurt me...not on purpose. His powers came back and I got tricked. I saw my worst nightmares again and none of our tricks worked to make them go away. But before the nightmares could hurt me he sucked them back up into his head and told me like...a secret. I don't know. Maybe he was fortune telling? It was really weird."
She cleared her throat and tried to remember the words. She even tried to imitate his voice.
"AND LO', THE DEAF TROLL SAID, I HEAR THAT WHICH YOU SPEAK,
I see you standing lined in row; a crook, a liar, a thief.
IN MYSTERY THEY ASKED, NOW HOW COULD THEE HAVE HEARD?
And the deaf troll 'e didst sayeth, your lips speak ev'ry word
AND IN TIME IT TOOK FOR YE' THREE TO THINK, AND SO THEN FURTHER ASK
Ye has missed the chance to cull me, and I have so slipped past."
She actually had to catch her breath from that dramatic recreation.

She wrinkled her nose as she listened to the secret. It didn't make any sense to her, even when she swapped the words that were troll words into human words. "Did he be saying what it did be meaning?"
no subject
"Just that when the time came I'd figure it out. No pressure right?" She sighed. "At least he didn't try to kill me. I wasn't sure because yeah...nightmares. But he was really nice in his weird way."
"So what have you been up to so far? Take anybody out?"
no subject
She frowned and shook her head, "No I did no be killing anyone yet, I did be getting some food off that stupid R man." She found it, there was quite a bit left and she held it out to Sandy. "I did be offering to be killing Some because he did no be wanting to be being here but he did be getting all leaky eyed." For some reason, it had been weird. "And I did be making a deal with stupid face Howard. We do no be killing him unless there do only be being ten people left."
((OOC: Also it is your turn on the Max thread <3))
Oh thank you
Sandy took the food eagerly and set to work demolishing it, she still had sealed cans of food in her back.
"When did we stop liking Howard and his stupid face?" She wondered out loud. Last time they had parted with Howard he'd been surprisingly helpful even if he was mean to her.
no subject
"But he do be being now so we can no be killing him." Because liking people didn't mean they couldn't stab them. Obviously.
no subject
"And what do we get out of not killing him?" She could guess a few things, he'd already proven handy with a medical kit after all. While they caught up Sandy felt exposed out in the open so she started to lead Pruna away from where they'd first made contact. Anywhere would be better then there.
no subject
Pruna followed, keeping her eyes out. "So what have you been being up to except for being with the Initiate?"
no subject
Distracted she approached the glass case and put a hand on it, once again thinking hard about her interaction with the initiate.
"He had a mask like this. Nightmare trollface."
no subject
"They do be looking cool." Good if you didn't want people to know who you were at least.
no subject
The case was locked but that was hardly an issue for the girls. Sandy jabbed the hook of her crowbar between the doors and shoved hard. There was a splinter and a pop as the lock broke and the case swung open.
"It hurt him. Like when he tried to take it off it didn't want to let go. It ripped up his face." Never the less she set her crowbar aside and picked up one of the masks looking in the back trying to see if there was anything that would hurt her face. It seemed perfectly normal.
no subject
She brought it towards her face tentatively, still nothing sharp. "Do I be looking cool?" She asked making a face through it.
