Go, Go, Godzilla!
Who| Eddie, Suze, and Guy.
What| Huntin' dinos.
Where| Starting at the T-rex's cage, then into the jungle.
When| Back dated to soon after the T-rex's appeared.
Warnings/Notes| Death.
Eddie was exploring the ruins, and the twisted metal of the cages that had clearly been broken apart recently, and was admiring it when he became aware of the heavy breathing behind him.
The big, heavy, breathing.
"Shit." He moved quickly back to the edge of the trees, back to where he'd wander from Suzannah, moving like the ground was lava.
"Shit, shit, what the hell..." He cursed, as he finally stopped to look back, seeing the behemoth T-rex, which, thankfully, hadn't seemed to see him.
Now he could see the bars around it, and felt a little idiotic for booking it so fast, but, you know. It wasn't every day you realized you were standing in front of a T-rex. In fact, he could solidly say this was a first.
"Son of a bitch. You see that thing?"

He laughed, but there was something under there, and Suze would see it. Even if he wasn't her Eddie, she would pick up on the darkness under that sentence.
He shifts, balancing her careful, and starting to do a cheer when the arrow hits...and then sees it doesn't work.
And neither does the back of plan.
"Good plan C!"
He twist, and runs, gripping Suze tighter. "You got another arrow in there, sugar?"

[OOC: Feel free to puppet her for the actual boyfriend shooting, Te.]

The thing was pretty goddamn big, after all. While it was probably strong enough to knock trees right over, that'd certainly slow it down.
And maybe that'd give him time to line up a shot to its eye.

So far so good.
And the terrain is getting thicker. Good for escaping rampaging dinos.
Bad for pretty much all his other jobs.
He isn't sure how exactly they got from point A to B. He started to feel his balance go down, and didn't want to hurt Suze. Not more than she already would be.
T-rex was behind. So he threw her forward.
Which would have probably worked well if she hadn't be letting an arrow go at the same time.
"Shit."

That was her arrow sticking out from his chest, her arrow that must have pierced a goddamn lung or something because look at all the blood coming out of his mouth, oh Eddie, oh God, oh no.
(Oh Discordia!)
"I'm sorry," she whispers, blinking away tears. "Oh Eddie, honey, I'm so sorry."

He didn't know if they were friends or something more but it was horrible either way.
But there was nothing that could save him now, so Guy tugged at her elbow to make sure she'd keep moving despite what just happened.
"Come on!"
annnnnd I'm out.
Eddie, eyes glazing over, looked down at the arrow and laughed.
"Good...shot." He feel forward, before looking up at Suze. "Go. Now."
i'm sorry about susannah, so very sorry
The Susannah darts forward, kisses his cheek, and pulls back before yelling, in a voice and accent that sounds way more like Detta's than should be comfortable. "Whatchu lookin' at, you ugly lizard mahfah? I outlived my man once before an' I'm shore not doin' that agin. C'mon, you yella dino, EAT ME."

"You need to run! You have to at least try to -"

But he ran because he knew she was serious and tried to ignore the noises that came after.
Later when he had set up a trap with the coil of metal wire he'd gotten and the spikes of wood, he tried not to think about the despair in those words.
'I was done for a long time ago.'
