I think it makes most sense, timeline-wise, to have Ariadne duck into the stone lean-to... like, maybe she was out looking for berries or something.

I'm good with whichever you guys think makes most sense. Ariadne'd be more than willing to putter off for a bit to forage, since she does need her space periodically.
