Callista was painfully weak. There hadn't been a lot of water for her since she had arrived and the lack of anything nutritious was weighing down on her. Everything in this Arena had seeped into her skin and hair. The Supergirl costume she wore was tarnished and stained from the melting mess that was this twisted candy land. She felt like her skin and teeth were coated in sugar. Everything seemed to want to stick to her.
She knew that she shouldn't have gone out in such a state. Stumbling just a bit from weakness she realized how true that was. She took a breath and not for the first time wished that she could draw strength from the Force.
Instead, it was her own stubbornness that was making her go on.
She saw the movement of Cuthbert ducking, but didn't quite catch who he was. She wasn't even sure it was another Tribute. She got really still, looking out in that direction as she tried to access the threat. Even then, her brain felt sluggish, as if she was even trying to think through a layer of melted candy.
