I Came to Mess You Up [Closed]

Who| Venus and Topher
What| Topher meets a real femme fatale.
Where| Dessert Arena
When| Week 3
Warnings/Notes| Death.

Venus doesn't know what she's doing wrong. She's playing by their rules, killing he competitors, mugging the camera and batting her eyes. She's done alliances, betrayal, a mercy kill, and yet she isn't receiving the food and water she thought she could expect. She's probably getting her calories in from the chocolate milkshake and the doki-dokis, but she figured she'd be sitting pretty, and she clearly isn't.

Instead, she's wandering around with a metal prosthetic leg over her shoulders, as if pails of water should be hanging on either side. She's managed to get the knee to lock so it doesn't bend, which makes it more useful as a bludgeon but more difficult to carry. She's getting a bruise along the back of her neck.

She stops when she sees someone huddled by a few bushes of mint. She tilts her head and shifts her weight to one foot, hip jutting out but body tensed to attack.

"Hey, you."

Topher stands and frowns at the woman. He wasn't ready for more fighting on the best of days; this was not a best of day. His food was nearly out and water rations were down to nothing.

"What?" It came off rude, but he didn't care.

"I-I'm not the best person for that job." He didn't want to be responsible for someone's safety, not when he could barely take care of himself.

But he did feel for her because he too was tired as hell.

Ignoring the innuendo (more like it flew over his tired brain) Topher scanned the area. "Look, there's probably someone very willing to help you out, but me and fellow Tributes don't go so well together. It's for your own safety."
