Camping trip!

Who| Pruna, Sandy and open
What| Sandy gets a tent, the girls go on an adventure. Come meet them!
Where| Candy arena, all places (they are traveling around)
When| Week 3
Warnings/Notes| Let us know if you want both girls, just Sandy or just Pruna in your subject line! Also if she doesn't know you Pruna may attack so let us know if that's okay/if you want your character to be injured

[At the gingerbread house] Pruna stabbed another doki doki and threw it as far as she could, watching as the others ran after it leaving the path to the house clear. It was becomming annoying, they were attracting more doki doki than they could eat.

And almost more than they could handle. She went to open the door when she saw a parachute attached to a larger than usual package, and a second one with a smaller package. Picking them up she saw that they were both for Sandy. She burst into the house with a grin.

"Someone do be liking you." She threw them over.

[Throughout the week, anywhere] The tent is a small fit, and difficult to carry when Pruna was still mostly carrying Sandy, but it meant they could leave the house.

It was strange that night and day were so short, and the noise was starting to drive Pruna crazy even though they took turns using the ear plugs she had got in the package she had grabbed at the Cornucopia.

But still, moving around and seeing more of the arena, it made Pruna feel like she was doing something.

For assassinage?

Clint has been reluctant to leave Peggy or Tony on their own for too long after what happened to Coulson, but he needed some space himself, and he was pretty sure Stark, at least, was sick of him hovering, watching them like...well...like a hawk.

Not to mention, he needed to blow off a little steam himself. He'd left the throwing stars with Peggy so she'd have something more than the baseball bat to protect herself with, but he still has his sword with him, sheathed through one of the loops on the belt of his Captain America outfit.

(That made it worse, really, being dressed up like this when he'd let Coulson die again. Cap never would have...)

"stop...stop here."

Sandy had spent so much of this arena completely dependent on Pruna, honestly she was amazed that anyone had sent her any gifts to begin with. But there was nothing she could do. Her leg was a useless mangled mess from below the knee.

At least, there was nothing she could do till now.

"Look." She pointed at some stalks of candy cane trees that were younger and thinner then the other. Leaning hard on the chainmail lined umbrella Sandy was looking thoughtful and irritated at the same time.

"We still got some rope?" She turned to look back at Pruna hopefully. Pruna had been in charge of the rope in case they needed it for traps and the like.

Diana didn't want to sit in the cave any longer. She couldn't. When she looked at those craggy walls all she could think of was her pain and her fear. Of Drake and Penny. Of her child. And that thing.

She'd not offered Howard an explanation. Just said she was going out for a moment. She'd grabbed a weapon of course, and a couple of supplies. More to prevent Howard running off with the rest than anything else. Diana had no intention of getting into a fight. In defense or otherwise. She didn't like her odds at all.

Taking a sneaky swig of water, she contemplated humming her own song to stop the constant buzzing of those high pitched animal sidekick rejects. It might draw too much attention though.

It was this train of thought and the focus on that noise that made her unable to notice the sounds of Pruna dragging Sandy around. And so she came stumbling out from behind some trees and nearly directly into them.

Sandy had been shrugged off of Pruna's back so quickly when Diana arrived that she had no time to catch herself and landed with both feet on the ground. The shattered splintered bone in her calf stabbed into the abused nerves and muscle.

She let out a yelp of pain followed by a hiss through her clenched teeth as she fell back, practically throwing herself off her own feet in desperation. She landed in the sticky grass and fumbled her chain mail lined umbrella before grasping at the handle and pointing it at Diana as well.

Sandy nodded, and leaning hard on her umbrella she began to hobble slow towards the red and white striped trees.

"I can't let you ACTUALLY carry me through the whole arena. It'll just slow you down. So let's make me a crutch." She explained. Her speed was hindered both by the leg she feared putting any weight on. The other hinderance came from the awkwardly shaped umbrella she was currently using as a cane.

Sandy didn't need to be told twice. She froze in place as soon as she was ordered to and clutched her makeshift chain mail wrapped umbrella close hoping she wouldn't need it.

The answers to her questions were: weapons, sunglasses, and a bit of water; all of the above; and a whole lot of one, thanks.

Though at the moment, he did not yet realize he was being stalked. He was very nearly silent himself as he moved through the garish woods. He was hoping, though not very optimistically, that he might be able to find some fresh water. They were definitely running low, and he wasn't particularly keen on the idea of surviving off milkshake, no matter how much his 8-year old self would have liked to.

Diana immediately took two steps back with her hands out and took in what was happening.

Honestly, the girl on the floor looked like crap, ignoring the pink umbrella of all things, her leg looked like the bin in a unlicensed doctors office. Not someone who was getting up to throw a punch anytime soon. Plus she wasn't the one holding a knife.

Keeping a watch on the weapon, Diana realized she still had the container of water in her hand. Of course, the moment she puts the crossbow into her bag to take a drink this has to happen.

She met Prunas gaze across small space of no mans land between them and dropped her hands to her sides. "Why would I want to do that?"

Sandy grinned back holding the rope and watching her scurry ahead.

"Let's start with four, that way if I screw up we have an extra." She'd never actually made one before but she could picture in her head what a crutch needed to look like. Surely she could make something so simple right?

Sandy winced but managed to keep her mouth shut. Just watching the attack made her hurt. Her leg gave a hot throb sending a wave of pain through her but she did her best to focus on Pruna in case she needed help.

Sandy was almost positive she wouldn't need help.

Sandy really hoped she wouldn't need help.

He could definitely fight, and he spotted her just as she leapt out, Not as soon as he'd have liked, and he knew that was down to a number of things, but soon enough to bring up an arm to block her knife as he jumped back and drew his own sword.

"Listen, kid, I don't wanna kill you, but if it's you or me, I know who I'm gonna pick."

Normally, he'd pick the kid, but he had other people to think of now.
justoutrunyou: (what are you looking at?)

Sandy to her credit managed not to cry or linger on the splitting pain in her leg. Instead she lowered the umbrella to dig it into the ground and prop herself up better.

"She'll do it. She's been looking for a reason." She warned. She wasn't sure if that still bothered her how willing Pruna was to play the game that way. But it sure made her life easier so there was no sense in fighting it. Pruna got her hands dirty so Sandy didn't have to.

The odds were getting steadily worse every second. Now he was aware of her. Now he had a sword and she still only had a dagger.

Sandy nervously wrung her hands on the handle to the umbrella and wondered if somehow she could hobble her way behind him. She couldn't imagine him NOT noticing her approach unless she crawled while Pruna kept him busy. But his back would have to be to her and even then it was a long shot.

Hunkering down in her hiding place to watch she once again thanked whatever luck she had to be on the same side as Pruna, and hoped her rotten luck wouldn't rub off on the little assassin.

Sandy sat down slowly at first but gave up halfway to the ground and sat down hard. The aching muscles in her good leg and the arm that had been taking most of the extra weight of her leg thanked her. studied the sticks feeling their weight and how flexible they were, as if she had even the faintest idea what she was doing and tried to position them the way they were supposed to look. Now that she actually had the puzzle pieces in front of her she could see that it wasn't nearly as easy as she had envisioned in her head.

Still desperation and a burning lump of self loathing in her chest urged her hands to work and she set about binding the sticks together as best she could. It seemed all that practice tying knots had finally paid off.

She had to trim one of the branches into smaller pieces to provide support but finally she had something that looked...well it looked silly really. A candy cane crutch? There were times where Sandy just had to stop and realize how absolutely silly this arena was. She imagined a room full of grown ups in stupid suits like the kind they wore to parties and one of them sits up and says "Gentlemen! I want a world made of candy."

Back in the moment she used her umbrella and Pruna's help to stand up, asking the girl to hand her the crutch. Slowly, tentatively she put her weight on the item feeling it dig into the soft ground. The longer pieces had a little give to them, and the handle dug into her armpit very uncomfortably.

But it held.

"I can't believe this actually worked." She muttered somewhat prematurely. She had not after all used it to walk yet.

He settled into a defensive stance himself, keeping his eyes on her, checking his peripherals for anybody she might have brought with her.

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen, sweetheart. I'll make you a deal, though. You go on your merry way, and I'll go on mine, and we can forget this whole thing ever happened."

And maybe he could ignore the itching in his fingers encouraging him to perpetrate violence on somebody for the way they kept killing off his people. At least until he had somebody to perpetrate it on who wasn't a kid.

Her expression is one of bafflement at Pruna's way of speaking.

"Well, that's a little harsh." Diana puts on a pout, her hands on her hips. "Especially coming from someone who sounds like they're having a stroke."
