In that, Pepper was lucky she'd found one of the guys that didn't kill in
cold blood. He found his feet and turned when he heard his name called.
"Yeah, Pepper, come here, we'll figure this out."
He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to try and survive with a 16 year old
hanging on. He didn't think she was going to be able to contribute a whole
lot. But his conscience wouldn't let him leave her here to die. Not without
at least trying to help her out.
