R turned to stare as he was tugged along, not resisting and for a moment he looked like he forgot to speak. Her glowing, creepy yellow eyes brought him back to the now for the moment and forced his mouth to work, fishlike.

"Hun...gry," R said, slurring all over the place. "I feel...wwweird."

It hadn't yet occurred to him this was what honest to God pain felt like. He was slow on the uptake like that. R was getting close to sagging against Karis like so much dead weight as he drooled black tar and at least he didn't have to worry about getting it on her.
