She knew better than to try sleeping with the two others out, so she sat up and tried to make herself stay awake. It ended up with surreal drifting in and out of consciousness, only blinking a little less blearily when she heard the explosions. Cracks, not like explosives, but like...

Fireworks. She couldn't help staring at the sky through a cracked window, open-mouthed, watching the bright flashes get closer and closer --

Too fucking close. Shards of glass exploded, coating her hair with bits of the window and a little shower of sparks. Each spot was a white-hot second of heat, one hitting her dress and flaring up. She knew this goddamn dress was gonna get her killed. She heard her name, but she was too busy beating the flames at the hem of the cloth, crying out like it might help the damn thing go out faster. Either that or she lost it, threw it off, but stamping it against the ground and swiping at it with now reddened, burned hands put out the flare.

"I'm here!" Less organizing, more running. Really not used to people actually hanging back, either. Usually it was every man for themselves. She comes up behind the two of them, arms shielding the top of her head. "Go, just go!"

She didn't trust this damn mountain anymore, not with the way it rocked, the concrete shaking. Actually it felt more like someone was trying to blast it down.
