Cornucopia: The Sequel

WHO| Everyone going back to the Cornucopia
WHAT| Picking on the leftovers. Who lives? Who dies? Who looks exceptionally smashing in their Tribute unforms?
WHEN| Two days in
WHERE| The Cornucopia.
WARNING/NOTES| Violence! Possible salty language!

Max made slow headway toward the Cornucopia. Even while her genetic enhancements were being suppressed, she still had sharp eyes and could move with great stealth. Pausing, she half turns while keeping her eyes on the area to murmur to the others with her.

"Lottie, you and Tony think you can manage to collect some things? Don and I will keep an eye on you both."

She sees a spot that looks like it might be clear for a snatch and grab and gestures that she intends to move forward unless her team tries to stop her.

A glance over Momoko, a furrow of her brow, and Ariadne purses her mouth slightly. "If you were that weak, you'd be dead by now. As it is, you've already found people to ally with, and a makeshift weapon."

She glances back to Eliot, watching him still intently. "If you go along with it, it goes better for you. The Games, that is." Mainly because of the cameras. Put on a good enough show, and you're good to go; don't, and you'll probably die.
cowardfacinghappiness: Momoko screaming. (Scream)

reaction to giant turtle attack is a go then!

Momoko can't help but stare at Ariadne for a moment. This is the first time since she understood what the Games were that anybody has shown any sort of confidence in Momoko's ability to survive due to her own efforts. It's...strange.

She follows Ariadne's gaze to Eliot, not sure how to respond and so moving on. "Yes, everyone was very clear on that. He'll learn soon. Or he'll die." Like some horrible prophecy, as soon as she says this she shrieks as a giant green creature springs out at Eliot. How had they missed that? How--wait. The two began fighting and Momoko blinked. Was that...the turtle man?

\o/ relocate to another thread, yeah?

Easy. Ariadne had missed it because her head had been turned the other way, watching something else in the interim. It was a rather false sense of security, all things considered. She tenses the moment there's a flash of green across her vision, her hand tightening on the can; her first priority is defending herself and Momoko, since Eliot's already in the fight.
cowardfacinghappiness: Momoko looking to the side, confused and thoughtful. (Hmmm.)

yep! i'm hopping down the vulture thread then

"There's more of them," whispers Momoko, spotting movement beyond the fighting pair. Working with the turtle man or waiting to pounce on both of them when they tired? She can't tell, can't even see how many there are, but if they all fought like the turtle man a teenager with a board and a young adult with a can weren't gonna be able to do much.

"We need to run," says Momoko, decisively. It's not cowardice, just sense, and even it was that didn't matter. What was cowardice but common sense? "We can't fight, not like that, we'll just get in the way. And lose what we came here for," she adds, meaning Ariadne's bag from the first Cornucopia and the other they found just a little while ago that Momoko's holding on to.

((Okay, going with the assumption that we only saw and grabbed one bag, then started on explosives. If that doesn't work for others just say so and we'll pretend that part of this post ~never happened~.))
buildingreality: (genuinely concerned)

okok \o/

[ooc: works for me! Also, did you want Ariadne down there as well, or have them meet up after?]

"We need to get the explosives first," she replies quickly, hastily dodging around the fights, away from the newcomers seemingly intent on either killing them or trying damn hard. She knows Eliot can't get the explosives when he's fighting, and that was one of the main reasons they came back in the first place.

So she skids, feet slipping out from under her in a controlled fashion as she falls beside one of the platforms, digging at it as she saw Eliot do not too long ago, but in a more more rushed fashion.
