"Been okay without your help so far," Howard says. He's trying not to sound insulted, but Daniel's been calling a lot of attention to how injured Howard is, and that just makes him feel vulnerable. It conflicts with that sense of independence Howard's been cultivating for two years. It's one thing to be taken care of - it's another to clearly need it.
