"Oh, yes, of course." He wasn't going to hit a child, whether boy or girl. "But if we were the same size I still wouldn't hit you." He'd still hesitate if she was bigger than him.

"You're right, if we're fighting for our lives, then it might be a different story," he admitted. "I just hope I'm never in that situation."
